"I came here with my wife as a holiday treat my first time to a Michelin Star restaurant, and we weren’t disappointed. I was able to make the reservation on Facebook Messenger which was helpful as my phone-French is awful and I was wanting...to ask a few questions first (thank you Google Translate). We arrived for Sunday lunch and welcomed by the hostess and shown to our prepared table on the beautiful terrace. There’s no choice of menu, just a “surprise” depending on what the chef decides, but their website says roughly what to expect. Course after course kept coming, all tasting fantastic and wonderfully presented, and even explained to us (in English) by the chef himself. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed and the price was very reasonable for what we received in England I would have expected to pay double. The only problem was that the food was so nice that a pesky mosquito kept trying to sample some from me, but these things happen. We would definitely come back again next time we’re in the area."

Excellent dinner in a beautiful garden. We went twice and both times everything was very good. We loved the idea of a surprise menu!

A wonderful Michelin star find in the Perigord. They seemed a bit overwhelmed on service, and dropped the ball on not asking if my wife and I wanted coffee to finish the evening. But, the food was excellent, and the garden seating very, very quaint....BE AWARE: Menu is chef's prerogative, though changes may be may to accommodate general dietary restrictions. Very good wine list.

Vincent Lucas and his lovely wife run this utterly charming village gem all on their own... He creates and serves his delicious concoctions personally with an enthusiastic presentation of their ingredients. She moves gracefully around the eclectic dining room attentively looking after the every needs...of the diners. Their no choice\', degustation menu is created based on the best, local ingredients combined in an often unusual and hugely successful blend. We loved it!

We had an absolutely wonderful meal here with our month old. The restaurant could not have been more welcoming of a baby everything was catered for and she was made a real fuss of! Dinner was served in the tranquil gardens and everything...from the excellent wine recommendation to the beautifully balanced and flavoured courses was a real pleasure. Herbs fresh from the garden, local produce and inventive combinations made for a truly memorable meal. Thank you so much. You definitely earned your Michelin star!

We ate here with friends last year and I wrote an enthusiastic review then... and I'm going to do so again now! This time the two of us had the pleasure of chatting with Vincent and his beautiful wife Anne... what a lovely couple. His...food is extraordinary and we were delighted to hear that he might be guest-chef at a great restaurant in Auckland (Paris Butter) when we will be there in early We will certainly be taking friends along to sample his remarkable cooking talents. The no-choice, tasting menu at Etincelles is a sheer delight. Well worth the Michelin star and more....

A quaint and intimate little restaurant boasting a Michelin Star run by a lovely husband and wife duo. There is no menu, you are totally left with the inspiration and freshest of ingredients of the Chefs\' concoctions of the day. And boy it...did not disappoint. As we were on holiday, we wanted our kids to experience this culinary delight too. They are young and pretty fussy when it comes to food. The eldest (the fussiest) rated his main dish as The best fish he has tasted in all of his life !! The youngest cleaned all his plates and even climbed into the coffee treats which mom and dad had no space for. For us adults, it was dish upon delightful dish. Not just eye candy, but tasteful and de...

Utterly charming restaurant with great food and wonderful warm personal service, trying hard to speak English. We had lunch here on a rainy Easter Sunday. The menu is not listed as it is a “surprise”. We were asked if we had any food allergies or...hatreds (cilantro) and the kitchen was mindful of this. Our six course menu was morel and asparagus heavy, as it is the season for both. Started with a light soup of asparagus and morels. Then two wonderful fish courses, then lamb served with perfectly cooked risotto. The cheese course was creative (as was all the food) a disc of aged goat cheese was topped with candied walnuts and a slice of pickled pear, which set it off perfectly. Dessert was a...

"Arriving in Beaumont early evening after a long drive on a very hot day, we were glad we had reserved a table at this little hotel's restaurant. Through the front entrance door, there is an interesting-looking bar area and then a comfortable dining room - but we were pleased to be shown to a table on the shady flower- filled terrace at the rear of the hotel. Aperitifs of good Kir soon arrived plus some freshly- baked olive bread then an amuse-bouche of a delicious cold carrot & cumin soup. We chose from the cheapest (€17) menu and were not at all disappointed with the food that was delivered; especially appreciated was J's supreme of guinea-fowl in a filo wrapping but everything was good. Our server (I guessed it was the lady of the house) was friendly and helpful and tolerant of my rudimentary French. She recommended a nice rose wine from nearby Bergerac, reasonably priced and perfect for the evening. Later in the week we returned for more of M. Denance's tasty food, this time choosing from the €25 menu. This was even better than our first visit, the olive bread this time also had tasty lardons inside and Madame remembered which wine we had chosen earlier in the week. The food gras "mi-cuit" was good, the dessert of parfait glacé absolutely delicious but the main course was the star. During several visits to Perigord, I have eaten Confit de canard on countless occasions - but none was better than the ones we both enjoyed here. This restaurant is highly recommended and we shall certainly be eating there on our next visit to this attractive village."
