updated review.. prices much increased since last visit and portion sizes also reduced, I think its what's called geed-flation and shrink-flation. Dont mind either as long as not excessive but NOT BOTH!!!

(collection for tea at home) Batter was burnt so the fish was dry and shrunken. Chips were undercooked and white with half the carton looking like toenails and a portion fit for a 2 year old child. Gravy was like engine oil. Went in the bin and will never go back.

We were greeted politely and shown to our table. We ordered two pensioner specials, cod and chips with tea bread and butter for £8.45 each which I thought was very reasonable. The fish and chips were cooked to perfection and the quantity exceeded what we expected. There was enough tea for two cups each. Highly recommended. Speisekarte ansehen

Theres only one place to go if you want the best fish and chips. The fish was nice and thick and cooked to perfection, the chips were of a good size too and also cooked to perfection Fantastic batter on the fish. I can't recommend this restaurant enough and finally the staff were brilliant and really friendly. 5 stars from me.

Sixteen of us prebooked a table to dine at the restaurant on December 27th, and the table was already set up for us upon arrival. The staff were incredibly friendly and provided table service due to our large group. The food was freshly cooked and cooked perfectly. I highly recommend dining in at this restaurant or getting takeout from here.

We are regular visitors due to fish chips hard to beat in a nice welcoming restaurant. We had both the regular cod and exceptional succulent sole, beautifully cooked with light crispy batter. The chips were also just right. The only downside is they still do not have zero beer which we always enjoy at almost every other restaurants now. Perfect otherwise. Speisekarte ansehen

The Sole at this restaurant is absolutely delicious and just melts in your mouth. The fish here is always consistently good, but it's disappointing that they don't offer zero-alcohol beer like their competitors do. It's a shame because sales of zero-alcohol beer are on the rise, as many customers are looking for it. It would be great to see them support the "don't drink and drive" initiative. Unfortunately, we'll have to go elsewhere more often until they make that change.

Portion Size Anaemic Chips, £12.95 for large cod and chips, usual price, but the portion size was more like a regular. The chips were Anaemic, and we hate those mini fryer baskets, 12 chips! Wish we had gone to our regular Seaton Carew chippy, but thought it would be nice to sit in. Our local resteraunt does large portion with bread and butter and pot of tea for the same price with peas too! Staff very nice and resteraunt nice, but they need to look at the competition for value for money,

Fish Face is our favourite local chippy but today has certainly changed that. Understandable we came 40minutes before closing but we were made to feel rushed as staff stood and hung around our table, as well as cleaning the floors with what must have been a full bottle of bleach. I understand end of day in restaurant having worked in food and retail however to do so while customers are still eating is not okay, especially since there was a toddler present who was distressed at the smell. The staff had binned our order and so our food arrived 5 minutes before closing, I only know this as staff were speaking out in the open front of house area that our order hadn’t gone through.
