Great atmosphere, great staff and great food. Lunch and a beer before football. Will definitely call again.

I had beer battered fish and chips with mushy peas and it was really nice nice atmosphere staff are really friendly the service is really good

Popped in for couple of pints and some lunch staff are super friendly and the food was great decor and music all fab look forward to visiting again!

We booked Garbutts Bar for our daughters 21st Birthday on Friday 5th April. What a fantastic venue! We had the place to ourselves from 630pm for our party of around a 100 people. Nothing was too much trouble for the exceptional staff and Rachael made everything so easy from the initial booking to the actual night and was very accommodating. We ordered the mixed platters and extras which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. If you need a venue that ticks all the boxes then i would highly recommend Garbutts

Of all the bars on Prince Avenue this is the smartest. The service is good and the interior is clean and well designed. We especially appreciated the cosy ambience created by the soft warm lighting. Our full English breakfast was a good feed though neither of us ate the black pudding and we'd have preferred a better quality tastier sausage. Quality not quantity? We don't come here that often but every time there's been the same background music playing. Its inoffensive MOR but hearing it played on every visit creates a strange feeling of deja-vu.

I used to rave about how brilliant Garbutts was. I'm really disappointed to say I won't be going again. I can only assume they have a new chef, because it was honestly the blandest food I've ever tasted. I cannot fathom the effort it would take to remove so much flavour from a meal; we had four different dishes and all four tasted of absolutely nothing. On top of this, it's far too bright in there to have an intimate meal, the music is far too loud and all chatter echoes so hard that you have to shout to hear each other speak. What on earth happened to this place? They still have lovely staff, which is the only thing that stops this being a one star review. Speisekarte ansehen
