"I can see why the previous reviews are so poor. I visited here with my family this afternoon after booking for Saturday Brunch. I never leave reviews but I am so appalled at the service. On arrival we were struggling to open the doors as...the second was bolted. The staff watched my partner struggle to bring a pram in. When we arrived the staff just stared at us then asked were we ok. We were late for our table and they let us know that. It was teaming raining this morning and I had a newborn and 2 young children with me. So you can appreciate its hard to get out. The lady serving at the till was very rude. She wasn’t pleasant and when we asked for a children’s menu she was abrupt. If children are not welcome they should state this on the website. On the menu it stated ‘stackable pancakes’ and when arrived they were 2 small scotch like pancakes. The food was cold as if it had just been heated up rather than freshly cooked. And to make matters worse there was a long grey hair in my food. When I went to speak to the desk the woman didn’t apologise she just said she would get me another one. There was no apology or offer of compensation. When we were leaving again they had bolted the door so we couldn’t get through and stood around instead of holding the door. Considering the price of such small portions of food you would think the service would be immaculate. The staff sounded like they should be well mannered but every single member seemed like they just didn’t want to be there. Maybe you need to look at how the team are treated or the team working behind the scenes as there is clearly something not right."

What was supposed to be a lovely meal experience was a disappointment. The staff were very rude In helpful and at times not even present. They did not cater for families with children, struggled to get through the door with a pram, we unlocked it...ourselves. No childrens menu, and overly priced. Once the food arrived we found a hair, and the portions were small for such prices. The atmosphere was depressing with no music just silence. And hygiene wasn’t great. I’d rather of had a picnic on the grass outside. I shall never visit or recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Visited with 3 friends for light lunch after walking. Ordered soup which was on menu. The manager came to the table after we had waited some time and said there was no soup available and it shouldn’t have been on the menu.He was polite and...apologetic and when we said we would just have coffee he said “ well let me bring you some toasted tea cakes” we said very kind but we will just have coffee. .He insisted and 3 of us accepted. When we came to pay we were astounded that he charged us for the tea cakes and when we said we had assumed it was a gesture of goodwill he vehemently denied this! Really poor customer service.

we called a hot snack and drinks the morning. the roundhay bap, sausage, speck, egg, tomato and mushroom ordered in a roasted bap and two cappuccinos. the coffees were served hot while the meal was prepared and cooked. the bap was served. in good time, and friendly waiter, omah, asked if we wanted to share, and he gave us a second plate and cute. that was the first time we visited the mansion house. on a very hot day it was cool inside and well ventilated. it offered a quiet atmosphere to spend an hour. all staff were efficient and friendly, and that made our experience more pleasant. the meal itself was delicious and was presented so imaginatiw without being gimmicky.

We arrived for afternoon tea for Mother’s Day where we were shown to a massive staircase as we were with our 94 year old mother , a baby and a five year old this was an impossible feat to climb After asking about a lift...we were then taken around a dark dirty corner ,thru a door to a even darker dirty disabled lift up to the wrongly named garden room. This was a massive room with large round tables devoid of any atmosphere at all .Tea and coffee were served in flasks and we asked for teapot or hot water )we were told we could burn ourselves !No chance of flat white !! was big slabs of bread for the sandwiches and generic supermarket type cakes. What a let down for a special day Staff were g...

"My son expressed his desire for a restaurant that wasn't too fancy or too casual. It's always a challenge to gather grown-up sons for celebrations when they are spread out, especially when you're unfamiliar with the restaurants in Leeds. After scrolling for hours and exchanging options, we finally settled on Gallery 41, which happened to have a 20% off deal on all food for certain days in November - perfect for N's birthday. After a long journey and a chilly afternoon at Kirkstall Abbey, we were ready to eat, and boy, did we eat well. The olives were a hit with my sons and husband, while the garlic bread was described as some of the best they'd ever had. The Skin Fries were a crowd favorite, so much so that we almost fought over the last ones. The main dishes were equally impressive, with the meat eaters raving about the Spiced Pepperoni and the Vegetarian option wowing my husband. I couldn't resist the Florentina pizza, a personal favorite of mine. Dessert was a hit as well, with everyone indulging in their sweet tooth. The atmosphere at Gallery 41 was perfect for our family gathering - quiet, cozy, and conducive to good conversation. The staff were attentive and friendly, adding to the overall positive experience. I look forward to returning with the rest of my family and indulging in more of Gallery 41's delicious offerings. In the end, it's the simple things like family, good food, and quality time together that truly matter. Thank you, Gallery 41, for a wonderful dining experience."
