"Easter Friday was a busy day, but this is a large restaurant and I found a nice table in the conservatory looking out onto the trees and bird feeders. It's great to be able to watch the blue tits, sparrows, blackbirds and other birds while having a meal. I bought a pork and leek sausage roll which was huge, along with a side salad and small pot of chutney. The pastry was flaky, the pork was tasty and I really enjoyed it along with the chutney. My pot of tea was a decent size and I can only say that I had a lovely brunch here and will be back again."

My friend and I called in at the garden centre for a late lunch 3.45. She is on a course of antibiotics and not allowed to eat until an hour after taking a tablet and this was the earliest we could manage. We were waved...

Called into garden centre for a general browse but was looking for a nice planter for myself. I even took my own plastic plant pot so I could get the right size. Unfortunately having looked at the selection on display, there were none suitable, they...

Love the shop and the garden centre so decided to have lunch. The restaurant is roomy and clean. The scones were huge and the bread thick. There was a limited choice of sandwiches so had soup which was good. On the whole I found the food was over priced.

Really surprised reading some recent reviews as we had a great lunch today with great quality food and really attentive service. One of the nicest ham and cheese toasties I’ve had recently and the staff were super friendly, quick service and really helpful. Speisekarte ansehen

Went to the Garden Centre today for lunch with my wife and granddaughter, we ordered 3 Toasties ans 3 drinks, this came to an eye watering £35, and I must say none of us really enjoyed the food. Very disappointed as it used to be a descent cafe before the upgrade.

I was the second customer in the restaurant this morning, around 09.20. The breakfast was fine bacon, sausages, egg, haggis, mushrooms, tomato, beans and toast (I could have had tattie scone instead of toast). Not sure about the fried rocket and pea shoots, though,...

We ordered the humous avocado and carrot which my friend said was lovely I ordered the chicken and bacon ciabatta it was awful it was a small spoonful of chicken and bacon which was mostly onions. On top of a very doughy ciabatta. It was very over priced and not good I left most of it I only really ate the chips and the onions chicken and bacon (what meat was there) sorry I won’t be back for food! Also no atmosphere in the surroundings. Speisekarte ansehen

1 tea, 1 flat white, 2 salmon and cream cheese ciabatta (without the cream cheese) £25.55. The tea and coffee was nice, but the ciabatta was stale and dry with little salmon and lots and lots of thickly sliced cucumber. No spread of any kind to relieve the lack of cream cheese. The side salad was thickly coated in some kind of yucky dressing. It was very noisy in the cafe with not enough room between tables. Next time we're passing, that's exactly what we'll do.

Arrived just after 10am. Nobody else in restaurant. Husband stood for almost ten minutes at the counter while a staff member did her paperwork in front of him. Completely ignored by two other staff members who were more interested in filling the displays. Eventually hubby interrupted one of them and asked for two drinks and two breakfasts. Breakfast took 20 minutes to arrive, by which time we had finished our hot drinks. Food ok but bacon very tough and beans luke warm. Would not recommend.

"Myself and my partner where just outside of portpatrick yesterday and wondered about somewhere to have lunch, it was about 12.30pm on a scorching hot Bank holiday Sunday. We hadn’t actually planned to go there to start with but thought why not. I saw on Facebook Connors Restaurant had just uploaded a Facebook post about stopping there for a choice of 2 lovely menus and a cheeky gin, sounded perfect! The post had went up about 15 mins before we arrived, so I assumed they must be looking to take some tables. I walked down and there where 2 tables taken outside, and 1 table inside. I asked if I could get a table for 2 outside if possible and I was told no they had been reserved and I thought okay but before I could even open my mouth again she said all tables inside where also reserved that they where fully booked. There was 1 table inside, other wise it was pretty empty. Ok no problem, we found somewhere else so no big deal, after about 2 hours spent having food and wondering around we went back to the car (parked just up from Connors restaurant) and I noticed again there was only the 1 table outside, and no one at the others. I’m maybe wrong but I felt like this was odd, the inside didn’t look like it was “fully booked” either. It actually looked a little dead compared to everywhere else. This has also happened to my friends a couple of times too they’ve went in and the place has been stone dead but got turned away because of the excuse of being fully booked. Just felt like it was not quite right. Sorry I never usually write reviews but felt like I had to get my point across on this one. We would love to dine here and hopefully will in the future."
