Gasthof Zur Traube - Speisekarte

It was all good. Waiter seemed a bit suspicious at first, but was actually quite a funny guy. Schnitzel was perfect and the view to the mountains as well.

Excellent Austrian food. We ate here two evenings in a row and everything was really delicious. They use good products and everything is made really well. Highly recommend this place.

If you are looking for reasonably priced good Austrian food, this is the place to go especially if you are staying in Pettneu. Open all year round even when all the other hotels and restaurants are closed. Speisekarte ansehen

We visited the gasthof zur Traube with a party of five after having read the great Tripadvisor reviews it has earned. All in all were we satisified with the food as such, but rather dissappointed with the portions and more importantly the long waiting times... We were placed in the cellar due to the numerous guests and felt somewhat forgotten down there. Some orders such as the water were more or less forgotten and arrived about an hour to late, making the entire experience rather "ok" than great...

Travelled for a ski holiday with my husband and 2 sons. Located in lovely little village 10 mins drive from St Anton. Family run and very friendly and efficient owners. We had the 3 bed apartment which was ideal for us with a small lounge and separate shower room and spacious bathroom. Breakfast was lovely and once they knew my son liked raspberries went out of their way to make sure there were always plenty for him. Evening meals were tasty and varied and the room was tidied every day. Very warm and cosy with amazing views of the mountain from our balcony. Would definately return and highly recommend.

Wir besuchten Zur Traube zum Abendessen, als wir in der Nähe wohnten und ein traditionelles Essen in einem authentischen Gasthof genießen wollten. Dieses Restaurant zieht Einheimische und Besucher an. In einigen Bereichen wird geraucht, was für uns jedoch kein Problem darstellte. Die Speisekarte bot eine große Auswahl, sodass die Entscheidung einige Zeit in Anspruch nahm. Wir genossen Getränke, Suppe (GrauKasse war perfekt für Käseliebhaber), Schnitzel, Wurst und Strudel mit Kaffee, alles für etwa 55 £. Also ausgezeichnetes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Our favourite restaurant in Pettneu! OK, I admit it was the only one we visited in Pettneu, because we enjoyed it so much the first time, we had to go back. The menu was varied, and included excellent dishes including venison ragout. The kitchen was accommodating for special requests such as a side of steamed vegetables.Service was friendly and excellent, but was slow on the busy weekend night we were there. No problem if you are relaxing after a ski day.We found the food and wine to be very good value, but admittedly we were comparing to Switzerland prices where we had previously been.If we return to visit Pettneu, this restaurant is the first place we will stop for dinner.

Unpretentious, very cosy athmosphere. The sevice friendly. The menu gets you ready for a good experience: copied from beautiful handwriting, the austrian local dishes all sound delicious and interesting. And everything we ordered was just that. The "Schlutzkrapfen" were addictively delicious. We took them with spinach although the Graukäse is a specialty of the region and would have been good to try as well. The star of the show was the venison steak - such a high end quality dish! The Mirabellenknödel were terrific even though the cook had by mistake given us the plum version instead, it was so delicious there was no reason to grumble.The whole town and area are very much worth a visit, and...

Visiting Pettnau decided to try this Gasthof for dinner and was most positively impressed by the tasty homemade dishes. The Tyrolean ravioli filled with spinach and creamed root vegetables were a wonderful take on this internationally popular style of food-- not only the Italian but Ukrainian and Russian kitchens have their kind of dumpling as well as the Asian styles-- this was unique, fresh and delicious. Followed up by a local hirsch steak (venison) crusted in pepper, with a tasty and not overly thick chanterelle cream sauce, and serviettenknödel with prune filling.
