A choice of tables outside or one of two areas inside. A great place to have a conversation without being overheard. The food is very good and the staff are very helpful.

Got invited here for a leaving lunch by a member. Its a good location for a quiet decent bite to eat. There is an outside seating area and an underground lounge area too. The main restaurant area decorated in Hockney artwork.

Beautiful place on evening we picked could not belive how quiet it was ...a party of four of us we got fantasic service staff so very nice menu was lovly great choices I had sole fish dish with tarter sauce so so nice .Really enjoyed my night at George . Speisekarte ansehen

Lovely layout, good food. Every now and then you know a place just “works”, this is just such a place. Discrete waiting staff, good food and despite being busy you never have to raise your voice to be heard due to well considered table lay out. Very nice. I may have to find someone to nominate me for membership!

They’ve gone all out with decorations for Christmas lovely and great PR. However, they also had two reindeer in a very small pen on ‘display’ for people to take photos of cruel and unnecessary. If they don’t seem to think twice about this obvious cruelty, how are they really approaching their sustainability and food sourcing?

We recently dined here (on recommendation) to celebrate after our Son and Daughter-in-Law had got married on a beautiful sunny day in London. Thoroughly disappointed with both the Venue and food. The service was dreadful, food was average and poorly presented. With a bill of £800 for 4 guests we certainly expected more from a Private Members Club in Mayfair. Would not recommend. I can see why this is one of our friends favourites, the table was laid beautifully and the service impeccable. A very good wine selection and perfectly chilled champagne. The red we were recommended was full of flavour and delicious. Very charming would suit a romantic or business lunch or dinner. We all enjoyed the bowl of minstrels. A good selection of classic dishes. The Dover sole was cooked well as was the lamb. The interiors are lovely and even in winter the outside seating looks welcoming and comfortable. The jazz singer was very good and the decorations downstairs very pretty. Cannot wait to return

…George it is good to get away from οἱ πολλοί in this busy part of London. The calm and restful interior, though tight in places, is well served by charming and thoroughly well-trained staff, attentive and percipient. The furnishings help significantly in reducing noise so guests can hear themselves – and others – both think and speak, a welcome change from most restaurants nowadays. Passing the open kitchen to reach the main body of the restaurant is to pass a battalion of chefs, seemingly dozens of them all beavering away, producing predominantly Italian dishes of sophisticated simplicity, the most difficult sort. Vitello tonnato, yellowtail sashimi was followed by plain pasta with tomato...

We are fortunate to have UK board members, who are also members at George. This visit was our second, and a lovely one, it was. We gathered for small bites, and drinks, before a larger, more formal Dinner, so kept it rather light this time (full Dinner on previous visit). We had the Steak Tartare for the table, and a bottle of Montrachet. I know, a white wine with Beef, but it WAS a “big” white wine, and one board member has issues with many reds. The Steak Tartare was excellent, and so very flavorful. I started to say it was “cooked to perfection,” as a joke, but decided that it was anything BUT a joke.
