Lovely lunch in the sunshine. Great choice of drinks and service with a smile from the manager and the server. Quick service, lovely food and a nice menu; something for everyone.

We went there twice in 24h! It's a lovely setting suitable for bigger groups. The service was not as efficient as we would have liked but friendly. The food was excellent, some of the best fish chips ever.

Came here on Monday 4th September for a birthday treat, lady that served us (unfortunately didn’t get her name) was brilliant, couldn’t have asked for anything better. Food was quick and piping hot. Overall a excellent evening. Speisekarte ansehen

A menu with limited options was made even more limited by a number of items not being available. The restaurant wasn’t particularly busy, however the service was very slow. It was clear the staff didn’t want to be there. It is a place that is ok for a drink only, but not for a meal.

We booked a table for 25 people for our choir post Christmas meal. The food and service were excellent. All of our meals hot and very tasty. The staff were very helpful, friendly and efficient at all times. We all had a wonderful evening and would highly recommend to everyone. Compliments to the chef and staff from all of us.

My friend and I visited on Sunday 3rd September for lunch. I had Fish and Chips, my friend had Roast Chicken with all the trimmings. We both thoroughly enjoyed our dishes. The chips were delicious...full marks to the chef. The waiting staff were friendly. We would not hesitate to return. My only quibble would be it was a hot day...could some of the smaller windows have been opened or one or two fans have been placed in the dining area... Speisekarte ansehen

We visited on Sunday 1st October. We booked a table for 2pm for 10 people, celebrating my dad’s 85th birthday. Service was slow especially the time it took the food to come out. Our roast beef was so tough and when you see photo of what we got served, you would question whether they have ‘chefs’ or staff that just heats up food. In this case the beef was so over done it looks like they left it under the heat lamp and let it frazzle. It was embarrassing as we had invited my dad friends for lunch and they commented how tough the roast beef was. My 10 year old child could have done a better presentation of the food. We booked for early Sunday evening for a family members birthday. 6 adults, 2 children. The restaurant was quiet but it still took nearly 15 mins for someone to take our food and drinks order. The drinks then took another 15 mins to arrive. The starters arrived a short while later for those who ordered them and were fine. It took some time for the plates to be removed after we had finished and again, quite a wait for the mains to arrive. these were again, OK, although I was advised the chicken and ham hock pie was very good. 4 of us had roasts beef only option). Were not greeted when we entered, even though someone was behind bar. He didn’t even look at us We Asked about food were told to take any 2 seat table. Not offered menus so got them ourselves, then waitress came over gave us correct menus. Ordered food wine, waitress was very polite friendly. Food came but Steak was very chewy No atmosphere, saw no one else eating, another 2 couples drinking. We were offered sweet menu, were going to ordered but were told at 9pm coffee machine was off so no coffee available.
