....expensive. 1 Small piece of southern fried chicken very small portion of chips was well over £6 with bottle of water.

We called into this establishment for a quick lunch and were very pleased with what we had. The food was nice and hot and well prepared and presented.

This restaurant is a chip shop that offers everything you would expect, as well as a few unique menu items. The food is delicious and the service is great. I would rate the food and service 4 out of 5, and the atmosphere a 3 out of 5. Speisekarte ansehen

Fish was fresh! Chips were also fresh!! We ordered 4 fish and chips and there was nothing wrong with any of them! No bones either! The lady behind the counter didn’t know what Hake was and tried to serve me cake!! But I got cod and chips in the end

I visited here during the October half term school holiday and was overwhelmed by the generosity of the owner, who was selling children's meals for just £1. The fish shop was also selling family lockdown meals at amazing prices. The staff are inovative with the menu and are always adding new meals and offers that can be found on their Facebook page. On this occasion I ordered two fish and chips with mushy peas, which were very reasonably priced and cooked to perfection. The batter was light and crispy and the chips were perfect. I can't wait to return as this is one of my favourite places to get a takeaway.

I recently visited the magnificent Pen-Pych mountain at Blaencwm, but unfortunately I wasnt experienced enough to complete the 6 mile circular walk. The walk passes through the pine trees to the Nant Carnfoesan and Nant Melyn waterfalls and the Iron Age settlement of hut circles. There are breathtaking views of the old colliery and a disused railway tunnel. The walk is difficult (rocky, muddy and steep), but we'll signposted. I would recommend a visit (in a group of experienced hikers if taking the walk) even if it's to admire the breathtaking views from the carpark. This is truly a beautiful piece of Welsh countryside.
