"A very nice place to stay and Ash and Debbie the owners are always pleased to do everything to make your stay special. The choice of breakfasts is substantial and the cooked breakfast are excellent. It is conveniently situated within walking distance of Padstow along a path just across the road from the B&B and not far from Wadebridge. I would also recommend the evening Bistro. The food is excellent. I don't think you could get better. Well Don Debbie, Ash and Adam."

"Absolutely brilliant from entering this fantastic restaurant. It was beautiful from the hosts (Anabelle and Lauren), who could not be more welcoming, friendly, entertaining and always smiling. The food was wonderful. My lemon sole was so much better than at Rick Stein's. The food was to die for, Peter the chef is a food magician, it has just entered into my top 3 restaurants in the world. Thank you for a lovely evening. We will definitely be back."

"For a long time, we have been passing by or taking the bus to Padstow and always thought we should try out the Old Mill House because it looked so inviting from the outside. Yesterday, we finally made a reservation and visited the restaurant. As we made our way through the building, we were impressed by the history and character of the place. We were seated at our table, and I had a lovely view of the waterwheel. The scallops we had for starters were absolutely delicious. For our main course, we enjoyed roast beef and roast pork with crackling, roasted potatoes, two types of cabbage, roasted parsnips, carrot purée, and delicious gravy. I mustn't forget to mention the cauliflower cheese, which was the best I've ever had. We paired our meal with wine by the glass and bottled beer. The service was top-notch and attentive. This restaurant is a must-visit. I highly recommend it. The local bus service from Wadebridge almost takes you to the door, and they also have parking available. I can't wait to return."

"We were looking for somewhere to eat on way back from Wadebridge and stumbled upon this garden centre. We arrived at 12pm and there was a queue of people waiting for tables both reserved and not. We had the dog so were a little worried we would not get in, however, we were seated in the last unreserved table. The set up is you pay for your food and are given a ticket to then go to the carvery and get your food, drinks are brought to the table. The food was amazing and a brilliant selection of meat (beef, pork, gammon and turkey) and so many vegetables. Puddings were also very good. It was slightly on the pricey side but you got a very good meal for your money. Would recommend."

"I've been visiting the St Merryn area of Cornwall for over years, Mrs C. and I had our honeymoon at Porthcothan in but we'd never visited Rafferty's until this week. We were pleased that we were able to take Nev, the medium sized ginger dog, with us and he was equally pleased not to be left at home sulking. A warm welcome, was followed by Nev getting ear rubs and dog biscuits, he was a happy puppy! For one reason or another I find eating full meals to be a bit of a challenge these days, so we ordered off the started menu and shared. Deep fried oysters, scallops, prawns, roasted beetroot (I hate beetroot, but this was lovely padrons, and fried halloumi. (Like I said, I can't eat big meals Everything was cooked perfectly, probably slightly too many padron's but that was our fault.We'll be back next time we visit."
