"We arrived at the restaurant half an hour early and were promptly seated at our table, which was great. We enjoyed some drinks and conversation before placing our order. We were informed that the kitchen was busy and there would be a slight delay, which we understood given the packed restaurant. However, after an hour passed, we still hadn't received our food while other tables that arrived after us were being served. Just as we were about to inquire about our order, the Head chef realized that it hadn't been placed yet. We decided to cancel our starters and just ordered our mains, as we were quite hungry by then. Fortunately, the food arrived quickly and was beautifully presented and delicious. Dessert was also homemade and delightful. The only disappointment was the lack of apology for the delay and mishap with our order. A simple gesture of apology would have gone a long way in improving our overall experience."

Easter Sunday roast. Very nice food, tasty and well cooked and the gravy was delicious. Puddings were lovely all being homemade. Good value for money and friendly staff

This has become out go-to place for fantastically cooked food. The staff are friendly and helpful. I used to go to **** and Bottle, so I followed the crew over to here as love their food.

I fancied the trio of fish (hand battered fillet of fish, deep fried scampi, whitebait) but I don't like whitebait so Bridget the Chef left them off and increased the scampi quantity, and I loved it! Speisekarte ansehen

The Halfway Inn staff were very welcoming and the food choice was excellent. Four us enjoyed a very good meal, nice food, appropriate portion size, and helpful staff. We would recommend a meal at this lovely venue.

The restaurant is housed in a charming building in a beautiful location, making it a perfect spot for a Sunday lunch. However, the room we were seated in was quite cold, and unfortunately, this also affected the temperature of the food. My wife's roast was served cold and the meat was thinly sliced and slightly tough. The staff were friendly, although they seemed quite busy. Overall, I was a bit disappointed with the experience.
