Harbour Fish and Chips

The shop was not the open when it was meant to be. I went at 1930 and the chippy said it shuts at 2000. Evidently that is untrue.

Poor customer service. Just need to look at the unprofessional responses to criticism to customers. Shocking behaviour and very unprofessional.

We ordered two medium fish and chips, and it was absolutely delicious! The food was hot and flavorful. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. We will definitely return in the future.

We called 15 minutes before the restaurant closed and the woman we spoke to was kind enough to accept our order. We arrived 5 minutes before closing time and our food was already prepared. Needless to say, we were extremely pleased with the service.

The lady seemed to think that “frying at high temperatures stops contamination of gluten batter with non gluten batter.” not suitable for those with coeliac condition. Would have been appreciated if she owned up and told the truth about cross contamination.

Your customer service skills are shocking, it's a wonder you get any customers at all. To refuse a 6 year old girl (my granddaughter) to sit down at your empty restaurant to eat her chips is the height of rudeness and lack of common sense. I suggest you rapidly change your attitude to accommodate your customers. Shame on you!!!

mark and christine know how to cook fish and chips. they are easily the best in the opposite to southampton (in my estimation.) all foods are cooked to order what I have completely agreed. fish can dry as quickly as they are kept in the hot cupboard, so I only want freshly cooked fish. No one can guarantee the best chips because the kartoffels differ so much, but they are generally very good and better than the local opposition. I'll be back.

great chip shop. I had crushed sausages and chips, my partner had cod and chips, both were perfectly cooked and still hot after a ten-minute walk that is always a good sign. everything was cooked to order (quickly,) decent portions for the price and the staff was perfectly friendly. do not get rid of the negative reviews that I think I have nothing to do with the quality of the food or the service would get a normal person without grinding axt.

I am impressed by the incredible attitude and responses from the staff at this restaurant. The customer service skills are clearly lacking, as they failed to consider that the child might be a vegetarian and not want fish or sausage with their chips. There could also be underlying reasons, such as autism or sensory issues, that affect the child's food choices. In 2022, all restaurants and services should be familiar with laws like the Equality Act 2010, which aim to accommodate and include everyone. I recommend that the staff improve their customer service skills and make sure to follow these basic laws and rights.
