"This place is tucked away on a road not far from the city centre. It's a proper pub showing sport, and has a pool table. The staff in there were really friendly and explained the token system to us, whereby you pay £10 for 3 drinks and if you don't want the third at the time of purchase, they give you a token to have the extra drink another time. Not sure this totally worked when ordering a G&T, as they are only £3.00 each time anyway, but it does work if the round consists of something more expensive. We sat on one of the sofas, which had a stack of games next to it (and involved us playing a heated round of checkers! . They do have some food, although it's pretty basic. We've not eaten there, so can't comment. If you want a proper pub, with no frills, then this is the place."

It is so good to see the bar reopen after the pandemic, Great place, brilliant staff, wonderful well maintained beer garden to seat out of the wind and relax. A great and lovely place to relax with a drink, food and have a chat.

Not sure what planet some reviewers live on but social distance was spot on. Masks worn and card only paying. Amazing meal, lovely and fresh and hot. IPA beer, spot on. If I ever return to Paignton, I will stop here for sure. Highly recommended.

Although there have been management changes this bar remains a friendly and an enjoyable place to visit. Great pizzas available to order as well! Still a good mix of students/locals/regulars. More of an emphasis on sports fixtures than there used to be would be nice to have a corner of the pub to use for non sports fans. I really do recommend you visit Henry's for a pint or more if you have not been there before. Speisekarte ansehen

Pub was selling lots of pints, feels like it’s gonna be the next Spoons. Defo gonna be around for quite a long time, personally I wouldn’t like it to be just a one hit wonder. Went with my friend Dawn, who recently broke up with her fella, she’s tired of broken hearts, so the visit really cheered her up, especially when her apprentice jockey friends joined us. Our friends Louis and Sharon had to leave prematurely, but a good laugh was had all round.

Booked for a Sunday roast based on excellent reviews but unfortunately they’d ran out by 1pm. Excellent food anyway but very disappointed that despite being told they were ‘hot on Covid measures’ and displays dotted around with social distancing reminders, we were placed on a table packed in between two others, on was literally back to back with not even 30cm separation. This was fine until they seated another group (7 people) at the table that was conjoined with ours.
