visited the hideaway with a friend after hearing good things and was not disappointed! quirky cool bar, delicious cocktails, dirty fries, shuffleboard and a really friendly team. in any case worth a visit!

on a Saturday afternoon on hideout for a fast drink, while the dog too foot, only for a quick beer and a bite to eat. but it started raining and how the hideout is dog friendly in the inner jumped. 2 beers, 4 gins and a double help from dirty fries later was happy that a friend offered us a lift back to where I stayed. We popped in here for a pint after a trip to the Museum of Somerset (just opposite). It was lovely and quiet and we were able to get a table straight away. We both wanted to try a different cider, and the bar staff were able to help. We came back that evening after dinner as well and shared a bottle of excellent wine. Staff were very friendly and there is a good selection of drinks. Lovely atmosphere and good location!

Visited early afternoon for some lunch, we had the spicy halloumi and Korean chicken wings to start, both tasted amazing and were presented beautifully. To follow we both had which I can only describe as one of the best Sunday roasts I’ve had in a long long time, beautifully cooked meat, vegetables and Yorkshire’s, it was my wife’s first roast dinner as she is from overseas and now she cannot wait to come back for moreOutstanding value for money, amazing service by the manageress I think her name started with B?
