I used to live almost opposite and now in Dane Bank... we have used the Hing Wah for over 40 years on and off. Never disappoints. Here are some prices for other menu items: chips for £1.40, large chips for £2.10, fish for £3.20, and pies for £1.50. I've been a customer at Hing Wah for years. I recall the little boy who grew up and would chat with me while I waited for my order—he was always so friendly and efficient. My best friend has always raved about this place; even after moving up north, he would still come back for Hing Wah. It's a great family-run business. I've always loved their chips, fish, and curry, among other dishes.

I tried this fish and chip shop for the first time, as I'm quite particular about hygiene ratings now after experiencing food poisoning. Their rating posted on the door and the recent update from September 2023 were reassuring. The service was nice, and there weren't many customers, which made me a bit hesitant to try it. I had a craving for fried rice, chips, and curry, so I ordered that. Unfortunately, when I got home, I found that they had given me boiled rice instead of fried. Overall, the food was decent, but there was hardly any curry—I guess I could have asked for extra. They have a massive menu, so I might consider visiting again sometime.
