"We dropped on this restaurant by accident one Winter'sevening after pounding the deserted streets of Poblenou, in search of somewhere to eat. We were made very welcome and the service was excellent. The only problem was figuring out what we were ordering as we speak no Spanish or Japanese, and the waitress spoke no English. Nor had we ever eaten Japanese food before. However, why let such a small problem come between us and a meal? We ordered a variety of things from the menu by number, with little idea of what we were ordering or what size the portions were. Five minutes later a very tasty soup arrived (who ordered soup? Ten minutes after that plate after plate of hot food appeared. We had ordered so much that it overflowed on to the adjacent table: chicken, duck, meatballs, prawns, a whole range of skewered meats, peppers and some strange pickled green beans complete with their shells. Three bottles of beer and red wine at €6.50 (not per glass but per bottle were consumed. Then a selection of sweets (I tried what turned out to be home made ginger ice cream which was delicious . Oh, and we ordered another bottle of wine to take home. The bill arrived – incredible. The entire meal and drinks came to only €65 total for the three of us. The food was tasty, and the entire experience hilarious for both ourselves and our long suffering waitress."
