Hotel Vitznauerhof - Speisekarte

This is a very small and cosy restaurant with a view over Lake Lucerne - I could not imagine a more romantic place. Food was great, though not excellent, but the atmosphere really made up for any shortcomings.

the design and the location on the lakeshore are beautiful. we enjoyed a nice dinner with our two girls on a table slightly separated from the other guests. service was attentive and friendly. the menu was promissing and offered some interesting combinations.

Excellent food and service. Although it is a one Michelin star restaurant, the service and food are no less than a two-stars. If you haven't tried it as yet you might have missed something. The location is amazing especially the view of the sunset. Food...served has a lot of detail. Even the five-course tasting menu has so much to offer, we were wondering what would be the case if we had taken six- or seven-course menu. Speisekarte ansehen

Wir aßen zu Abend, als das Restaurant nur einen Michelin-Stern hatte, und jetzt war es an der Zeit, seinen zweiten Stern zu würdigen. Es war wundervoll. Wir essen oft in Michelin-Sterne-Restaurants, aber dieses ist etwas ganz Besonderes und unvergleichlich. Wir bestellen ein Gänge-Menü und jeder Gang war fantastisch. Die Kombinationen der Zutaten waren unglaublich. Der Service war großartig, das Personal war sehr freundlich und es sind überwiegend Niederländer.

We spent an unforgettable course dinner at the Sens, starting with amuse bouches and champagne on the terrace, accompanied by an Ibiza like sun set. The courses were heavenly and very inventive, daring, contemporary without being too much. The team with Alex, Sue,...Luca, Alice, Germ and Robbert were extremely friendly, multi-lingual and caring. An exceptional experience which makes you travel the whole world without leaving your table. No stiffness at all, on the contrary a cool and open minded attitude which is rare in places of this kind. We will be back !!!

I can see why this restaurant has two Michelin stars. The concept is fascinating and they do things with their food which are incredibly creative, presenting it beautifully. Each dish is brought out like a performance. This was great for about minutes but at...the end of three hours we were bored and losing the will to live, particularly as we could not understand what the waitress was saying. At one point she brought a small jar of chutney with a QR code on it, saying that it was for us to take home and keep. But she took it away and, despite being asked twice, never brought it back. Ich habe in mehreren mit Michelin-Sternen ausgezeichneten Restaurants gegessen und finde es merkwürdig, dass dieses Restaurant Sterne anstelle von Sternen hat. Die erste Hälfte meiner Mahlzeit bestand ausschließlich aus experimentellen Speisen, um zu experimentieren. Bedenken Sie: mittelschwere Langustinen... und Kakaosauce, keine tolle Kombination. Es kam oft vor, dass der Geschmack einer Zutat den Rest völlig übertraf. Die Textur und das eigentliche Handwerk waren großartig, aber an den zugrunde liegenden Gerichten und Aromen muss noch gearbeitet werden. Kellner nett, aber unglaublich schrecklich langsamer Service, fast eine Stunde Essen. Und das Essen war keine Stunden wert... Unglaublich...

We ate here again for the time in Spring and just like before we were thoroughly impressed. Everything in this resraurant is special the beautiful setting, the wonderful staff led by the very talented yet down to earth Chef and the amazing food....If you want to forget the world for a while and just enjoy the good things in life you should definitely come to Sens. The awesome food, the relaxed atmosphere and exceptional service will leave you happy and content. It's The Best in Switzerland! They also welcomed our yrs. old daughter like before and made sure that she is having a lovely time as well. The staff was very accommodating of our request esp when she asked for her desert earlier than...

We first visited this restaurant after the spring lockdown. We have low expectations when we eat in Swiss restaurants as we usually get disappointed. After visiting Asian street food stalls we steered away from fine dining restaurants. Restaurant Sens brought back our joy and enthusiasm...in fine dining. It reminded us why the joy of restaurant experiences. From the moment we stepped in, we were ushered into this beautiful terrace right beside the lake where we were served with our apero. Executive Chef Achtien himself prepared his own Caesar Salad creation. From there wonderful appetizers were served. At that point we knew that we were in for a magical evening.
