The Sloop Inn, Hungry Horse

Called in en route home, we both had the English breakfasts and were delighted. Friendly service with a smile and nothing was too much trouble.

I had a fantastic evening with friends. The food and service were excellent, and the staff were very attentive. It was great value for money, and I will definitely return.

The food and service were excellent. Absolutely perfect bacon on my full English, and Hayden was incredibly helpful and friendly. Toilet stalls are really tiny though, and difficult to maneuver

My severe was “Patthew” aka Matthew.. Absolute delight and the food was all “Gravy” as I went for the gravy one burger today! I will return like many other times, nice size meals and well worth the price.

I found plenty of vegan options on the menu! I tried the fish and chips, and it was the best vegan version I've ever had. For dessert, I couldn't pass up the chocolate torte and also indulged in the vegan crumble. Speisekarte ansehen

Came in here for a quick pint on a little pub crawl on the way to newton abbot... Only had a pint.. One member of staff...(Sam) Said on his name badge.. Served a customer before me and i was waiting before that customer.. Found him a little rude.. And he didn't look like he wanted to be on that shift Other than that had a decent peroni.. Then left and went on to better pubs with better service...

Friday 8th March 2024 When we came into the pub, the pub was well busy because off `Mothers Day` coming up and as usual its a mad rush to get a table, luckily we got a table (with reservation), we got our drinks at the bar, which didn`t take too long, and shortly after that we ordered our dinner at the bar. Dinner for both of us really in our book didn`t take too long, but when we got our dinner it was absolutely great, we couldn`t fault it, we was stuffed. This is the second time we`ve been here, and the food and the staff do not disappoint. Very big thankyou for fitting us in, you did a great job, well done, keep it up.

I have been meaning to drop in here for decades but never been the opportune moment. I was on my own today and had to stop and have food somewhere and this was on route. Ok, it's what you expect from a green king. Their menu is prety standard, nothing exceptional in that respect. Service was good and freindly they had a small but ok selection of beer. Food was served quickly and up ro scratch. It was quite empty, it was just before the holiday week though so maybee it gets busier later in the year. It did also feel like it was on the cusp of getting close to needing a refit or a spruce up, despite the large windows it feels a bit dark inside. Speisekarte ansehen
