"We would have never known about this place except our friends, Salvatore and Susan insisted we go there. I'm not big on driving into the wilderness especially at night, but this trip was worth it. First off, the drive is not as bad as it sounds. Basically its a straight shot out of Diamante. Its the fact that most of the drive is on a stone and dirt road and the first time you go you're sure you're going the wrong way. At night its great to see all the lights at the end of the road greeting you. The grounds are delightful, I'd love to come here in the summer and eat in one of the outdoor areas. The main building is large and has wrap around windows for a very spacious feel. We were greeted by the friendly staff and set about trying to decide on what we should eat. Ours friends said start the the Vecchio Frantoio Antipasti, great idea. We ordered one portion to share for 3 of us, not that the portion was small but all the items were so delicious no one wanted to share. We ordered three plates, a steak, grilled mixed meat plate and a Porcini pasta. For side dishes we got the fried patatoes and broccoli. We shared all the items and everything was top notch. The steak was amazing, the best I've had in Italy. Cooked perfectly and tender. The grilled meats were a great sampler and very tasty. Everyone loved the Porcini pasta. Potatoes were really homemade potato chips and the broccoli got big thumbs up, perfectly cooked with a bit of chili for some bite. For dessert we got a classic Tatufo and an ice cream with figs. Both were great but the fig ice cream was a real treat, like nothing I've had before. There was a fig puree center surrounded with what was more like an ice than ice cream, though it was ice cream. We all agreed it had the taste of a watermelon ice, though I'm sure there was no melon in it. We'll order 2 next time. House wine was enjoyed by all, even the none wine drinkers and the digestif that was offered was nice, especially the licorice one. Now that we know where they are we will be returning often."

"Siamo rimasti colpiti dalla cortesia e professionalità del camiere il quale ci ha accolti con un buon prosecco di benvenuto, un assaggio di bruschetta al pomodoro e, nell'attesa della cena, ci ha offerto anche del pane caldo condito con olio. Attenzioni non scontate da ricevere. Abbiamo scelto due primi ed un'acqua minerale al prezzo finale di 35€. Entrambi i piatti erano ottimi (Spaghetti pesce spada, melanzane e ricotta affumicata; Calamarata cozze, crema di patate e pecorino). Vista sul mare gradevole sebbene qualche metro più in giù siano presenti degli alberi che coprono il panorama. Do 4 stelle soltanto per il prezzo medio-alto. Siamo stati bene e ci torneremo."

"Excellent dishes, quality products. Original menu that rises above the classic tourist menu. However the prices in the menu are quite high and I would say a 15% higher than fish restaurants in the same range of offer and quality. The fish grill as well as offer and presented is not from 35 Euro as well as the 30 Euro appetizer. The Cirò white wine 2021 Iuzzolini, however great, the bottle at 18euro seems to me a nice relapse compared to the price of winery... small and cozy location ...the chocolate truffle was Excellent and remarkable sin only that it was served completely frozen."

"Ambiente molto carino, pulito e accogliente . Cibo di ottima qualità perché fatto con materia prima di produzione propria. Ottimi i primi, le polpette di melanzane, la parmigiana, le alici con i peperoni, la frittata di cipolle, la crostata e il liquore sia di bergamotto che quello di amarene. La proprietaria molto simpatica e attenta alle esigenze del cliente. Rapporto qualità/prezzo ottimo."

"Anche quest'anno abbiamo trascorso qualche giorno al Sabbiadoro, il titolare, un personaggio come sempre ed una persona che sa fare bene il suo mestiere. Lido bello in tutto dalla location al cibo.Unica pecca forse un po' più di accortezza da chi collabora con lui sulla pulizia della spiaggia dovuta sempre ad incivili, e sul gestire meglio i vari punti ristoro, dove si accalca un po' troppa gente soprattutto al self-service all'ora in cui apre, infatti noi andavamo fuori dove c'erano i panini e toast. Colpa anche delle persone che a volte dimenticano.... Il sig. Palmiro esorta anche per megafono ad usare la mascherina, a mantenere le distanze e ricorda le vittime di questa maledetta pandemia. Molti però l'hanno dimenticato."
