"We stayed in northern Italy for one week and ate in many good restaurants around Alba and Barolo. We also attended our friends' beautiful wedding where the food was excellent. However, Il Gallo dei Don was personally my favourite food experience of the week. The setting (an agriturismo farm was relaxed and informal and the family staff were welcoming and very helpful in translating some of the menu. The menu comprised four courses with wine, water and coffee. We also had a bottle of Prosecco. We ate cured meats, risotto of saltimbocca and borage (i think? , smoked trout ravioli, pork with a light fennel gravy, hazelnut cake and semifreddo. All the dishes were full of flavour and cooked to perfection. The total cost for four adults was I think about 85 euros, which is amazing value for such lovely local home cooked food."

Very kind staff. All delicious. plentiful portions. Fabulous cut and a delicate red fruit digestive suitable for those who do not love strong tastes. We'll definitely come back.

I recommend it for the takeaway, unfortunately in person we have not yet been there because once we wanted to go but it was full there was no more place. However for Epiphany we ordered the takeaway menu, very satisfied was all very good and plentiful! Thank you! Speisekarte ansehen
