"My friend and I were looking for a place to eat on a Saturday evening and decided to give this restaurant a try. When we arrived, we had to wait to be greeted as the only other diners were having their food served. The table we requested had to be cleared first and we noticed that the restaurant lacked ambiance and soft furnishings to absorb the noise. The food was disappointing, with my mussels starter being drowned in a jar of Ragu and my main dish being served unevenly hot and cold. My friend's dish was so unappealing that she left most of it uneaten. A group of noisy diners nearby made it difficult for us to enjoy our meal. Overall, the experience felt more like a canteen than a restaurant and I would not recommend Il Padrino to anyone unless they improve their service and food quality."
