Overpriced and tiny servings. I ordered gambas and was served 6 of them fresh out of freezer with some curry sauce on top. A waste of money and time.

This is refined, light and delicious Indian food at its best I have not tasted dishes with such excellent balance of spices, nor seen plates so beautifully presented since I last ate at Rasoi! I would compare this restaurant to the very best Indian restaurant you would find in London. The restaurant is tiny and reservations are a must. However there are plans to enlarge it before it re opens sometime in February. For us Geneva is almost a 2 hour trip but I will gladly make that trip to eat at Indabar again. Of the dishes we had the Eggplant (Barta) was the best and the Butter Chicken the least interesting though that said, it was a delicious plate of food!! The Naan was perfectly cooked too.... I am quite disappointed with the experience at Inda bar. First we waited a long time for our food, and it wasn’t even all when it came and the 2nd serving was “on its way” for 40 min which led to our initial food getting cold as we wanted to eat it with the naan. The waiter said that he couldn’t do anything and blamed it on the kitchen being busy, but if you are a restaurant and you allow for table booking which makes it busy and full you need to account for having the capacity and service to fulfill orders. Yesterday my friends and I went to this restaurant and when we arrived we loved the warm Friday night vibe. We ordered our wine, a Sauvignon blanc, and immediately I felt it was corked or just was not right. My friends agreed and we called the waiter( possibly manager or owner as he sat at another table with two other guests some of the evening so don’t think he was just a waiter) and he told us impossible as it was from 2017( don’t see how that can make a difference) then he got a glass and tried it and said it was fine and we were wrong. Second time at Indabar for lunch but first since it expanded and re decorated. Visually it is very nice. However the menu had just changed and I had a hard time finding really Indian dishes and Indian cuisine was the reason we were there. When restaurants go for too much fusion cooking they tend to loose their primary goal! Anyway we had the Baigan Bharta had intended to have it as a starter but the service got all confused ! and it arrived as a side order with our main dishes.
