Jr's Diner - Speisekarte

We wanted a cup of tea and a quick bite to eat and saw this as we drove past. Sandwiches and drinks were OK, nothing special, but was fine for us.

Never been here before but just had a perfect breakfast. Nicely cooked, perfect amount and the best fried bread ever. Staff were very friendly too, would definitely come here again if in the area.

Tea and coffee by the mug if required, good sized meals at average prices. They do stop cooked meals around 2.30 pm (that's why lower rate) though. Amenities clean, decor different, staff very accomodating. Good for snacks.

Poorly run, initially overcharged, kitchen has no ticket order system. You may think based on the number given you be next but be prepared to wait as they can’t handle any more than 2 orders being placed at once or orders come out all over the place.

We went to this restaurant for a lunchtime meal. Bit disappointed that they didn't accept credit cards. The food was satisfactory, we had burgers and chips, the chips were tasty. We had coffee and fizzy pop. The service was good. Staff were pleasant, food came quickly.

On a positive note, the breakfast wasn 't bad, although after trying to find some clean cutlery, you do lose your appetite. The tables were clean but the chairs were full of crumbs. As mentioned on other reviews, the staff could definitely benefit from some customer service training when we asked for some ketchup we were told it 's behind you . The sauce bottles could do with a good clean, as well as the windows.

Not looking for anything fancy ? ... tea and egg on toast with a few mates then this might be for you but it is basic dining at its extreme; It all felt a bit, well, tacky. Service was good and food plenty acceptable for the price but given its prime location on the seafront then 'could do better ' has to be the verdict. It seems to be popular among some locals and outside seating is pleasant so yes we would go again for a cuppa or fry up but that 's not much of a recommendation.

Popped in for lunch today. Some of the reviews are quite critical, but the place is what it is. A seafront cafe with a reasonably broad menu. Formica tables and plastic chairs. Very cheerful service. Apologetic for the delay (20 minutes, nothing really on a bank holiday) and because all fish had gone apart from fish fingers!Food arrived hot. Place was reasonably clean, apart from some residue on the floor. Hardly life threatening. Toilets were out of use but there were public loos 10 paces away.I've paid twice as much in A pub for food half as good.

We travelled to Hayling Island on a ride around looked for a Cafe and came upon JR 's. On entering I was a bit apprehensive about the Cafe , but I soon had a different opinion of the place after the food arrived . I ordered a bacon roll and a cheese and tomato sandwich and two teas , when they arrived I was asked would two rolls be OK instead of a large one I replied yes . The food was very good ,the cheese in the sandwich was over flowing and my bacon rolls were really nice . Never judge a book by the cover as our meal was as good as you can get any where for the money .As for other people saying it was dirty is not true , I had a good look around whilst waiting for our food .Give it a try...
