"We have spent a few lunches/evenings at K Bar as two or three couples and each time it has been different but extremely enjoyable. Each time we have spent hours and hours there without feeling like we want to move but you are never made to feel unwelcome; instead they offer you more drinks at the right time and leave you to it. A couple of weeks ago we shared some beef nachos which were the best I've ever had, with pizzas (so big they hang off the table and fantastic burgers and chips. The cocktails are expensive (we would appreciate some deals in future as we spend a fortune! but wonderful. The service is very friendly and the atmosphere is great. A wonderful place to visit when in Woodbridge! We love having such a reliable place to go that's local."

Shaky start to the evening with our table booking not being found. However, the young lady running front of house was very apologetic and accommodating. Special mention of Josh who was outstanding in his customer care professionalism.

Went here last night with couple friends to celebrate my birthday. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Atmosphere was good. Nicely decorated inside. Cocktail menu is great, loads to choose from however our drinks did take a long time to come. At one point we waited around 30-40 minutes for one round to arrive. Toilets were clean, everywhere was Covid compliant.

Great food, great drink and fantastic staff great venue. Plenty of room for a lunch with friends and some good drinking. everything on the menu sounded excellent, and everything on the table served looked excellent also would recommend the K Burger which I experienced, but next time I think I'd try the ham, egg and chips (more like an inch thick gammon steak! or the 8oz rump steak. Well done team Speisekarte ansehen

I booked K Bar for a colleagues retirement party. Charlotte was extremely helpful prior to the event as i was vague on numbers and food orders. They laid on Burgers, salads, hot dogs etc and although very cheap exceptional quality and a decent amount of food for the guys. the bar has a great atmosphere and i especially like the outside space, they catered for 30+ of us with out any stress, much appreciated

We popped in here on a recommendation just to get a coffee. Well, Jason AKA Full-time legend and master of sales, did a sterling job at swinging that coffee round into a cider and some out of this world cocktails! Followed swiftly by an epic sandwich! The atmosphere was very chilled in the lovely sunny garden with a wonderful playlist giving a relaxed vibe. Kyle the General Manager clearly cares about his business and is passionate about the service he provides. I highly recommend you pay this little gem a visit. Thanks guys for a great experience! We came here just before Christmas for some brunch and a couple of cocktails on first impression the decor and atmosphere was good a fire on the go and a nice vibe. Unfortunately the service seemed a little disorganised and our server forgot our orders and had to return to ask for them again perhaps a pen and paper would be handy! Cocktails were okay, but they didn’t have ingredients for a ‘Toblerone’, which was a bit disappointing. The brunch (eggs benedict and a breakfast bap) were underwhelming whole untoasted doughy muffins ruined it, and the sun dried tomatoes were missing from the breakfast bap. Would probably revisit in the evening for drinks, but not again for food. Speisekarte ansehen

We stumbled on this fabulous bar after walking around the town centre having arrived to spend the weekend in Ipswich. Great range of Aspall Adnams local beer cider as well as lots of cocktails). Our drinks order was swiftly taken served. Lovely friendly service from all of the staff. We ordered a pizza each and they also were delivered really quickly. They were fabulous handmade pizzas with a lovely crispy, light base plenty of toppings. We often can't quite finish pizza as they can be a bit heavy but these were absolutely delicious both were demolished! Sadly, this was a flying visit so we couldn't stay longer to sample more of the drinks menu but we will definitely go back when in Ipswich.

My husband and I went last night for Valentines Night. It was out first trip, the restaurant had been recommended to us and so we booked a table. We weren’t disappointed! From the minute we arrived, we were greeted by the friendliest staff who showed us to our table which had been laid, reflecting the occasion. The food was out of this world! From the perfect halloumi chips and chilly jam to the most tender chateaubrean, finishing with the most delicious lemon curd Eton mess.....and the glass of Prosecco it was one of the nicest meals we have ever had. The staff were incredibly attentive and the chef came out personally to ensure we were enjoying our meal! We will definitely be returning. K...

"For my main course, I had the halibut steak with baby potatoes, and it was outstanding! The fish was cooked to perfection, with a delicate sear and tender, fresh meat. The chef truly excelled with this dish! The baby potatoes were soft but had enough firmness to hold their shape, and the dressing on the plate was just right for enhancing the flavor. I also decided to try an oyster for the first time. The staff were very helpful in explaining how to eat it. Following a friend's advice, I added some lemon juice and Tabasco sauce, along with a few drops of shallot vinaigrette. Instead of swallowing it right away, I let the oyster sit on my tongue for a moment to savor the flavor, and I was pleasantly surprised. I've heard oysters can be hit or miss, but this one was definitely a hit—even for a picky eater like me! The white wine I chose was a nice complement to the meal, with subtle fruity notes that were not overpowering, pairing well with the various fish dishes. If you appreciate high-quality, fresh food cooked to perfection, this is the place for you! I’d rate it a perfect 10/10 and have already recommended it to friends. A big thank you to the staff for a delicious meal and a delightful evening! For vegetarians, I noticed a few options on the menu, and the restaurant is spacious enough to accommodate larger groups, making it kid-friendly as well."

"Checking in to a hotel in an unfamiliar place, it is tempting to book one 's first evening meal in the hotel 's restaurant (unless, of course, one has had chance to research the alternatives beforehand . This may seem a safe option, but is often a mistake, as it was on my visit to Ipswich. Had I only known that a minute 's walk along the quayside would have taken me to Mariners, I should have eaten there twice rather than only once! A floating restaurant can often prove to be a bit of a gimmick, but Mariners seemed to get good reviews so, on night two, I gave it a try. A beautifully restored and maintained Dutch customs gunboat from 1900, with gleaming brass and polished woodwork, the restaurant offers a limited, but well-constructed, menu to satisfy most tastes. Being aboard a boat, I opted for seafood, and was not disappointed. There being an R in the month , mussels were a good choice for my starter, followed by a seafood skewer , presented with just enough theatre to be amusing but not over the top. Not fine dining , perhaps, but well-prepared, nicely presented and very satisfying dishes at reasonable prices. A limited wine list, perhaps a bit on the pricey side, but the Picpoul de Pinet proved to be an excellent accompaniment without over-stressing the credit card. Service struck just the right balance between politeness and friendliness. My fellow diners embraced the whole age spectrum (I was by far the oldest! weighted perhaps towards the younger end, the common factor being that everyone (myself included was clearly enjoying themself. There are many other dining venues along the Ipswich quayside that my brief visit did not allow me to try, but Mariners can be recommended as a safe and enjoyable bet."
