"Let's get the issue of the ferry out of the way first. It is true that the ferry will dock right in front of the restaurant. There is a great fire of the harbor and the ferry arrives makes a lot of noise for five minutes and then all is quiet, the view is related by the blue and white side of the ship. None of this changes the quality of the foos, which is great. We had pastas and a salad and grilled vegetables. The pastas especially were wonderful. We finished with a cannoli. WE were there on a slow night and the service was just as you would want it. Don't let the ferry stop you. This is a very pleasant place for dinner."

A lovely restaurant on the port front. Can be obscured by ferry but we were not. Good local, fresh and delicious. Decently priced. The owner, Stefano, is a delight.

Nice restaurant on the port. The view is not great (the ferry is moored closeby), but staff is nice and food is really good. A little expansive maybe, but worth a visit.

Great restaurant on side of port. Had seafood linguine and risotto for starters followed by swordfish for secundo (grilled and stuffed rolls). Grilled veg too v good. Bottle house white. €85. Also enjoyed watching ferry mooring alongside.

Delicious food and superb service. We have found that restaurants near the main tourist shopping area do not put a high priority on service. La Conchiglia is by the port but still close to the centre. The best meal of our holiday to Calabria and Isole Eolie and by far the best service. Highly recommend.

This restaurant came highly recommended by a local. We went for lunch and all our expectations were exceeded from the service to the food presentation to the explosion of flavours in our mouth. We even did a local olive oil tasting! The menu is diverse, with something for everyone! We almost went back for dinner.Don’t miss this one!

We dined here last night and the food and service were excellent. We had two great pasta dishes followed by large prawns cooked to perfection. The owner Stefano selected a very good wine which cost only €20 from a wine list which had many more expensive wines. This was our first night in Lipari and we will certainly return to dine here before we leave.

during the tour to the winds the day we visited lipari we stopped at lunch in this restaurant remaining all very satisfied (we were in order many different first did not make us any problem. excellent food friendly staff the owner often came to our tables x ask how it went, advise us and talk to us. in the end also offer the malvasia that in other restaurants have always put us in the account. I recommend it with sympathy

Since it was late afternoon there were only 2 tables with customers of 2 men each. The waitress spoke very little English but we managed. She put in the WiFi password for me which was very kind of her. I ordered the Spaghetti Liparota which the menu described as pasta, cherry tomatoes, capers, olives, anchovies, parsley and garlic. All the flavors blended very well together without one overpowering the other. The dish came very hot and fresh! The bottle of naturale water was cold and refreshing. Credit card was accepted.

"The larger the expectations, the greater the disappointment when these are disrespectful. we find this famous restaurant inside the guide of the solitary planet and from the first day on the island, seen the local celebrity (also referred to by the owner of our holiday home), we decide that we had to go to dinner. we phone the same evening that we set foot to lipari and the first available date is after 5 days, or almost in conjunction with the end of our holiday. we decide to fix this date and organize which dinner would be from the grand finale of our liparota stay. setting our expectations even more on the spot. we arrived the great day, we present ourselves in perfect time and we are immediately greeted in this place that somehow reminds the great reception halls of the 80s where we went to children for weddings. However, for a restaurant like this, you can also enjoy the atmosphere a little vintage. We'll sit down right after that, let's skip the adult age of almost all the staff in the room. what we appreciate and interpret as a sign of professionalism and experience, impression that then will prove truthful throughout the dinner. to welcome us, approach our table an old and kind gentleman who will turn out as the owner of the place, that we appreciate very much and that makes us feel immediately in good hands. the gentleman, immediately try to advise us by guiding us in the choice of dishes. Now, given the richness of the fish tank of the day we were almost all oriented to choose a second of fish, but behind the advice of the owner we decide instead to start with a mixed fish appetizer and a first. this choice was also guided by the fact that the paper menu is sometimes difficult to understand, given the multitude of dishes present that can make confusing those who have no clear ideas about what to take. It is in fact that after the ordination wine and appetizers arrive in a baton and we begin our dinner. the mixed appetizer is very good and rich in delicious combinations that include: fish, fruit and local cheese. everything leaves us very satisfied and lets us take the first good and inviting. Unfortunately, however, it was not so, since all the first dishes chosen had a disappointing one, the pasta seemed to be too much to the tooth (as testified by many other reviews) and the dress was too heavy for Filipino macaroni and too brodoso for the fettuccine of the island. Perhaps we would not understand their kitchen until the end, but the impression was that maybe it was better to take a second, than at the same price would leave us more satisfied. also because we are talking about 19€ for a dish of pasta, price that apparently seemed more tied to the prestige of the place than to the quality of the dishes. in short, we were a little disappointed overall, since we tried other restaurants far more at hand and we were really excited while here could go better. This does not take away that from the Filipino remains in my opinion a fundamental stage for a visit to Lipari, perhaps opting for a second."
