"My wife and I eat out 100 plus times a year. It takes a special restaurant to excite either one of us. We are usually very critical and are reluctant to highly score most establishments. This is a very unpretentious place with a zero ambiance factor. The cuisine is very good and the service as well. My wife had the cold tomato soup ( gazpacho ) which was creamier than the US version. It also included ricotta ravioli. My starter was veal carpaccio with a zucchini tartar. Delicious! For a main course my wife chose a "cote de couchon" which we soon found out was a pork chop. This was a 10 ounce chop served with a red cabbage chutney drizzled over the top. The side for this dish was a seasoned couscous. My main was a very rare fresh tuna steak that tasted like it had been caught this morning. It was served with sliced sautéed celery and a very minimal melted cheese topping. Very unusual but tasty. On top of this we shared a bottle of wonderful southern France rosé. We finished off the meal with the gourmet coffee dessert which consisted of a tasting of five desserts with beverages. I splurged and also ordered a Mandarin Napolean which is an orange flavored liqueur. This service was delivered by a very customer focused duo of Karen and Clelia. They clearly understand the concept of good customer service. If we come back to Lille this will be on our list of " must return to" spots."
