Tried dining here 3x. Just 2 oc us the first time. Then 5 of us. Then 10 of us. The waiter Miguel was, as always, very accommodating, as were the restaurant father and son and grandson team. The Cocido Madrileño here is not to be missed but so are the callos, sopas and merluza. Always felt so welcome in this place, almost like home.

I was going to look for the cook while they announced that he is the best in the world. I was more impressed with the amount than the drop, it's not bad, but I have more of the vallmont school. the over-amount, we ate 6 and put about 12, when they finished they didn't ask if we wanted to take it and they took it fast. We booked 5 tables for a total of 34 family members and sat in the pleasingly old fashioned salon. The service was brisk and efficient I guess it has to be when the platter of cocido must weigh 10kg ! The cocido itself is a mountainous pile of chick peas with a heap of meat and various kinds of traditional sausages on top, together with marrow bones and vegetables. The taste is as impressive as the look of the dish and, if you haven't tried it, I strongly recommend it. Don't be shy about asking for a doggy bag; I can't imagine many diners making much of an impact on that colossal heap of food ! Great place, lovely food and reasonable prices too. Speisekarte ansehen
