"My girlfriend and i were recommended this restaurant by our host at the b&b where we were staying. It's a village with only a few houses down a road and this restaurant is one if them. It doesn't look that appealing from the street but believe us, the chef is a professional! The waiter is probably also the owner, not sure though. Anyway, very friendly and helpful. The menu is small but that shows that everything is fresh. We sat outside, witch was nice in the evening sun inches away from a forest. For starters we took the green asparagus witch they serve with parmezan and balsamic. Fantastic! Minutes after we ordered you could smell the food was being prepared! Delicious! For the main dish we ordered the "coquilles saint jacques". It comes with a side of rice and broccoli. The sauce is mixed in with the coquilles and consists of tomato sauce with fresh cream and herbs. Also lovely! Note that this was the second night we ate there and we knew from the first night that portions of the main dishes are not large as they are used to eat a dish as starters followed by a main dish. With two dishes anyone would have more than enough, and the prices are very reasonable! The first night we ate desert, witch was fantastic but enormous! Sorry, i have no pictures but we took the tarte Normande. That filled up a whole plate. Actually you can't eat it alone! I took the "poir belle helene" witch is a pear in half soaked in syrup. It came on a deep plate filled with melted dark chocolate and roasted almonds and ice cream. Heavenly but a calorie bomb. Anyone with a "normal" eating habit can only have or a starter and a main course or a main course and desert. All three is just too much and no one wants to waste food. Overall a good experience, that's why we returned and that's why we will eat there again when we go back to Giverny or Vernon. The first night cost us 70€ and the second night 72. We are from Belgium so these prices are just the same at home. Drinks are more expensive than we are used to, but that counts for the whole Normandy area. Coke, or sparkling water and other soft drinks are abou 3.50€ to 5€ (33 cl) and beers range from 3.5 to 7€ (25 cl). Beers are all imported Bekgian or Dutch."
