"I went here based on a recommendation from a local wine bar. Possibly the biggest mistake I've made in my life. I ordered the Millefeuille d’aubergine to start. It came out as a sloppy mess, but was almost my favourite part of the dinner. Oily and bland. For main I had the Pièce du boucher, a piece of steak which I could barely cut, let alone with my razor sharp incisors. So bad I left the majority of it and instead finished the sub par mashed potato. Woooo. Desperation. I didn't bother with dessert based on my previous courses. Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. I should've saved myself the €30 and gone to McDonald's! I'd have been more satisfied."

I ate here with a very large group (we had the entire restaurant), and looked forward to a traditional Lyonnaise meal. That is what we had, but it was not well executed -- the food was mediocre at best. There are many, many better places to eat in the area.

As usual, trip advisor doesn't disappoint and I found this restaurant for lunch. Elaine, who served me was so nice and hospitable and the Salad Nicoise was delicious. This was a very enjoyable lunch with good food and friendly service and very reasonably priced. Bon appetite!

Went here recently with a colleague. It is tucked down a back street but well worth seeking out. The service and food were excellent. It was a Thursday evening and not very busy. The food was much better than some of the tourist restaurants in the old town. Food prepared and served with passion, it deserves more customers.

This cozy restaurant in the Guillotiere neighborhood was a delightful find. A warm welcome by the hostess, who speaks excellent English, reasonably priced wines and very tasty dishes. Our meal brought back pleasant memories of trips to Nice- a wonderful salad niçoise, plus petits farcis niçois (stuffed vegetables)! A great evening.

Following the great reviews on tripadvisor we booked a table here for Saturday dinner and we weren't disappointed. Delicious home made food. Lovely salads to start, then we had the specials which were superb followed by melt in the mouth chocolate fondant. Don't miss it but book online via tripadvisor as they were turning many people away.

A fantastic dinner with 2 friends. The hostess had great English and was able to answer questions we had on the menu clearly, and each dish was well executed. Good wine and all of the dishes were delicious but the steak tartare (the day's special)stood out as being one of the best I have ever eaten. We had booked in advance and it was empty when we first arrived but soon filled up with French speaking people so I imagine this is a popular local spot. Excellent value for money and I would definitely return if I am in the neighbourhood.

"My wife and I dined here on a Saturday night (having made a reservation several days in advance), and it was one of the best dining experiences we have had in France in a long time. We reserved for the early seating, showed up on time, and were among the first customers there. We had a small table near the door. The disadvantage is that we were occasionally wafted by a cold draft from the front door. The bigger advantage was that we were sitting near the restaurant's beautiful, precision, hand-operated meat slicer. The specialty starter is beef that has been cured for seven months with seven spices. It is sliced paper thin (and that is no exaggeration) and served heaped on a plate. Heavenly. My wife and I ordered only one of these plates and it was more than ample for the two of us.That was followed by our starters. I ordered the minestrone marocain légèrement épicé comme à Tanger (Moroccan minestrone, lightly spiced as in Tangiers), and my wife the rillettes de crabe aux petits légumes et Granny Smith (shredded crab with little vegetables and pieces of Granny Smith apple). Both were delicious. For our main dishes I had a pavé de cerf (deer steak), which was ample and perfectly cooked. My wife had fish, also cooked to perfection. I don't recall the wine we ordered, but the choice was from wines that were at their peak (not just wines one or two years old), yet the prices were reasonable. One remark about the decore: it manages to be a bit traditional and modern at the same time, with reproductions of paintings by Modigliani and various early 20th-century (mainly French) artists adorning the wall.Overall, a restaurant worth going out of your way for."
