"I've been coming to La Porchetta for more than three years by now and last visit was simply the worst! We ordered pizza which had garlic on the menu, but when I finally got it, there was no smell or taste of it. I gave it back to the kitchen asking to add garlic to it. 5 minutes later I received same pizza with no taste or smell of garlic, but pizza was fully covered in oil! It looked like an oil lake in a plate. When I gave it back to a manager, he was angry and instead of trying to sort out this situation he started gossiping with staff showing on our table! afterwards he demonstratively printed the bill and put in on a counter constantly looking on us waiting when we'll leave! one of my london favorites. I was here three times and every time I was so satisfied with the delicious food, great atmosphere and friendly service. both pasta and pizza are amazing, and the risotto balls are the best starter. it has a relaxed atmosphere and funky vibe. great restaurant for a date with affordable trips.

I was brought here on Friday night by a friend who is regularly here. the staff was very friendly and agreed to serve even though it was 11:15 and the kitchen closed. we ordered both a pasta dishes and a pizza and I was amazed at the size, taste and the whole fresh of eating! would definitely recommend and will go back!

Welcoming. I was meeting a friend over from Australia. I looked up to find a restaurant near the British Museum on Urbanspoon. We didn't manage to get to La Porchetta until 2.55pm this afternoon (we didn't know that the chef stops serving at 3pm). The owner was very welcoming and asked the chef if he could serve us food (the restaurant was emptying) and he did and we had a beautifully prepared meal. We were impressed by the welcome and the quality of the food for a very reasonable price.

Possibly the busiest best Italian in London!. This place is Italy mad, passionate, frenetic, moody, stylish, delicious all at the same time! Every Staff member seems to be Italian, which is a good thing. It's always busy and the food is worth the effort to seek out this little piece of Italy. Huge authentic pizzas, no stuffed crust here (PIzza Hut is down the road). Pasta to die for, the Carbonara is superb. If you need Italian food, this is the place to head for. The prices are extremely reasonable too a bonus!

...One of the best Italian restaurants in London so far. This is of course if you have no hesitation eating in a place which has pictures of little porkers all over the place (pink pig clock, pink pig chef in full chef costume on wall, little piggy silhouettes in a row on the window). I suggest you brave it anyhow, and try this place out. Before you continue, this is a VERY long post. With about 8 tables on the ground floor, and probably similar numbers in the lower ground floor, this restaurant would fit about 50 people at a time.
