"We have visited this establishment several times before and the last time we were not impressed with the change of management. However this time despite the service being slow still, the food was delicious. I had the tarte de Cantal with salad for a starter, followed by the confit de canard served with pomme de terre gratin both of which were delicious! I could only nibble at the cheese course unlike my husband who consumed quite a large serving of Roquefort from the generous platter of cheeses. We did all manage some dessert however! This four course meal cost 18 euros a head! If your are in a hurry this is not the place to go but we all thoroughly enjoyed the meal and would like to eat there again!"

"A very good welcome from the owner. We came to spend a night before the winter race of the Templars. We took the option to eat at night. The rates are very correct. The meal was simple but copyy. The servers are very courteous. The rooms are a little old but you will find all the necessary comfort inside."

"On a visit to the cellars, we find ourselves in this establishment. Very nice style, old residence of the region. We ate very well. The charcuterie plate was... huge, even two we had trouble finishing, but it was so good. The meat is a real delight, the very nice boss. The only 2 flats, the dressing ...industrial and the mustard under blister that has nothing to do with mustard. We should put in place soft cases like this is done a lot now. I'll be back in this place."

"This small town restaurant is in Tournamire, just a couple of kilometres from the cheese town of Roquefort which naturally features heavily on the menu.The restaurant is surprisingly large, has some impressive architectural features such as a large carved plaster ceiling but overall give the impression of comfortable country restaurant which has grown up over the years rather than been designed. It also has two parrots in cages which we were told will whistle the Marseillaise, although when we visited they remained silent. The service was prompt, competent and welcoming. There were three different set menus offered for Sunday lunch, and we elected for the middle priced one. There was a small quite refreshing vegetable puree as an amuse bouche and then we both had the very nice, simple fresh-tasting langoustine and asparagus terrine. Our main course was beef with a Roquefort sauce, nice beef nicely cooked and the sauce smooth, rich and tasty not harsh and salty as Roquefort sauce can be. For sweet we had a panacotta with raspberries, again simple, nice, correctly done. Overall a simple straightforward lunch, nothing exotic or highly ambitious but what was offered was done well. The wine list offered a good range of both local and better well known French wines at reasonable prices.Overall a very pleasant, traditional French Sunday lunch, nothing exceptional but quite up to, indeed possibly slightly above, its mid-range standard and price. Would certainly go again"
