"There are no words.... Actually there are plenty, but I do not have enough time to write them. On Ischia there is a mountain, at the base of that mountain you start your 40 minute climb to try to reach the top of that mountain. It is very difficult to get there. I was traveling with a Russian, German, Spanish, and Italian friends. We all decided to climb this mountain. At one point we were out of breath, I look up to the very top, and see umbrellas. I said to myself Who the hell would live up here!!!! Little did I know, it was not a residence, but a restaurant that was at the tip of the mountain top! I urged everyone to keep climbing (I mean, we came this far! and we hiked up to the restaurant. I then said to myself, Who would put a restaurant up here!!! Who does your plumbing! I never got the answers to my questions. I did however hiked up to the very top of the mountain (so scary then sat at the restaurant with an espresso, applauding myself for making it to the top in one piece. A funny note... There were three tables near the edge of the cliff to sit at that had reserved signs on them. There was nobody there but us. I said to myself Who the hell makes reservations here!!!!"

"Dropped in here as they had a hamburger on the menu, supposedly. Ischia does a lot of fish dishes so I was craving some meat. Went with that and received two patties, but no bun sad face. Managed to salvage the situation slightly by...slapping the burgers and a bit of lettuce between two slices of bread, receiving some odd looks as I did so. Decent fries though. Nice desserts too. Pleasant location overlooking the small beach at San Francesco. Reasonably priced. Total bill was €42 including drinks which wasn't too bad, but note that there was a €1 cover charge per person."

"The Aragonese restaurant is physically beautiful with rooftop views of the Aragonese Castle lit at night and amazing sea views. The food is superb because it is different than the traditional Italian cuisine that you can get anywhere it’s a gourmet experience beautifully presented with a different handcrafted ceramic plates and platters and bowls with each course. The chef’s take great pride in the food and presentation and the food and wine selection are fabulous! The service is flawless and friendly at the same time. All of the wait staff take great care of each and every customer. We ate at the Ristorante Aragonese last year and Otto (head waiter) remembered us and made us feel so welcomed back that is remarkable to remember us from one year ago ! Otto makes sure that your dining experience is unforgettable and he is top notch !! Try Ristorante Aragonese you will not be disappointed. We will be returning soon ! "If you're reading this, looking for a place to have dinner stop, go here right now (you won't be disappointed! . If you've arrived, you'll understand why. There's a cute corner up some stairs where you can get cozy and watch the sunset while waiting for your food! See, really romantic right? You're welcome for not missing that. On to the food 1. Ridiculously reasonable pricing! 2. SOH DELICIOUS Special mentions: My boyfriend ordered the Pistachio Pasta and it was to dieeee for! Also, the Fiori Di Zucca (courgette flowers with ricotta OWEMGE bring me back to life so I can die again . Lastly, the staff were great, all very friendly : the place is a little hidden (we took a scooter through the windy lines but it's totally worth it! In fact, the journey there kinda made it even better. 5 stars would definitely return!"

"This restaurant was recommended by a family friend during a recent trip to Ischia. First, when we called to make a reservation they said they would provide transportation from our accommodation. That transportation was just an overpriced taxi that we had to pay for. When we arrived to the restaurant we told the waiter it was our first time in Ischia. He proceeded to quickly take away our menus. We were confused but we’re enjoying the view at atmosphere. Appetizer after appetizer arrived to our table, none of which we ordered. They were good but it was FAR too much for two people. Much of it was sent back. Next lobsters were brought to our table and was told “this is for you”. Again we never saw a menu so we didn’t even know what was available or the prices. At the end of the dinner the bill arrived and it was SHOCKING. Over 550 euros for a dinner for two. We truly felt taken advantage of and unfortunately it ruined our experience of Ischia as a whole. I would never go back and told my family who is going there later this month to avoid this place. BEWARE."
