"De passage sur Barbizon, nous avons eu l'occasion de tester ce restaurant. Une formule à 25€ entrée, plat, dessert, ça commence bien. Le cœur de veau et chorizo bien cuit, l'honnêteté de mettre "noix de pétoncle à la provencale" et non "noix de saint jacques" comme certains restaurateurs essaient de faire passer, ce plat est très bon. Pour couronner le tout, je conseille les profiteroles. Une tuerie !!! : la pâte à choux a du goût, le chocolat est délicieux, le goût de la glace ne prend pas toute la place de cet excellent dessert. Continuez dans ce sens. Nous reviendrons quand nous serons de passage et nous espérons ne pas être déçu"

"We wish we had seen some of the reviews for this restaurant prior to going. We decided to go to the bistro. The maitre d'hote was very rude and made us feel most unwelcome from the start. My mother ordered the civet de lievre. She is French and knows very well how this particular dish should be made. It was inedible. My wife and I both tried it and agreed it was disgusting. The meat was far too dry and the sauce had been reduced far too much. It was more like a paste than a sauce. She did not continue to eat it. To be fair the other waiting staff were very pleasant and dealt with it by offering a free desert. I complained and had the meal taken off our bill considering how bad it was. They eventually agreed to do so. The wine list.... It was very expensive for the wines on offer. The wines were not that special and yet the prices were way out of proportion. I know you expect to spend a premium on wine in hotels and restaurants but what I expect, is to be paying a premium for quality wine. Not the bog standard wines they had on offer. We stayed at the hotel and that was very pleasant however it's no where near 5 star. More like 3 star to be honest."

"Negative points: the waiter is pressing, and forgets several things that we asked during our meal, and when we ask for a plate of fries at 14:15, he answers us that the fryer is off... Positives points: Good and varied food, nice setting to eat there, good atmosphere in the restaurant. In summary if you go there to eat well in a beautiful setting, and with a good atmosphere, it is good but do not necessarily count on the restaurant service..."

"A FUIR ABSOLUMENT: crowded reception, extremely long service although the restaurant was practically empty. No research in the presentation of dishes. Salmon gravlax, a variation around the beet, consists of a few small pieces of salmon sprinkled with anth and placed on potato slices with a few touches of beet sauce. The cook should learn the meaning of the word decline. My wife, having denied the uncooked poultry supreme, accused us of criticizing in the only intention to enjoy the meal for free and insisted on putting us out! We paid the bill, of course.We still had a well-founded criticism that had given rise to such a defamatory and disproportionate reaction for more than 50 years that we have been in the restaurants"
