"Really nice food. Great new owners who have are really friendly and accommodating. Some have said the food is pricey and whilst it is probably above average pricing, the ingredients are all top notch and where possible, locally sourced. You get what you pay for. We ate here about a dozen times over the summer, mainly with visitors from the SE. They all said what a brilliant place it was and wished it was their local! Well done for the turnaround and all the new innovations."

Welcoming, good service, good food, clean and tidy. One real ale though two more would be better. A ploughman's and a Melton Mowbray pork pie etc. lovely! 4.5 would be better. Very nice.

Visited this pub on a Sunday lunchtime apart from soup a few snacks, not what you would expect of a foodie/gastro pub. Something is amiss- not least customers Reckon on about 6 people at the time.

No longer a restaurant! This was by far one of the best gastro pubs in the area and somewhere we always went to for special occasions as the food was always absolutely superb. Now you can get a pork pie with chutney (or similar) and a pint. So very, very sad for the village. A great loss. Speisekarte ansehen

Not being mean, but the one star is to warn people that most of the other reviews here are now sadly out of date. If you knew it before, beware. It's changed hands, and they no longer do food except light bites. See the website. Seems a real shame as it was great before, but there you go.

This is a delightful country pub that used to have a brilliant menu. Due to lack of customers they have pared it right back and now do limited light snacks. It's still delightful, the snacks are good quality and the staff still friendly but it's such a shame that it's been forced to change. I hope they will increase their bar menu especially for evening food.
