"Need I say more? Aside from returning to Chinon to spend time touring the Chateau and visiting with our new friends, I especially wanted to feast daily on the excellent selections especially the Brioche at Au Plaisir de Chinon. Great selection of the usual croissants, baguettes, gallettes and gourmet chocolates but the Brioche is in my opinion the best I've ever eaten in the world."

"Crêpes et galette très bonne et savoureuse mais organisation catastrophique. Nous avons attendu 50 minutes avant d'avoir nos galettes et après plus rien, pas une seule fois quelqu'un n'est venu s'occuper de nous, les gens autour de nous partait au fil du temps, lassé d'attendre, sans même prendre de dessert. Aucune table n'était débarrassée, les assiettes traînaient juste sur la table. Il a fallu que j'aille demander moi même nos dessert mais même la, il a fallu attendre 20 minutes pour 2 crêpes et une glace ! Nous n'étions plus que 7 dans la crêperie, je ne pense pas que ca soit normal de prendre autant de temps. Je pense que l'organisation est catastrophique lors de forte affluence (nous étions passer manger durant le pont de l'ascension). De plus les blagues de la gérante n'était pas forcément nécessaire après avoir passé 1h40 dans la crêperie pour 3 galettes, 2 crêpes et une glace. En tout cas j'espère que ce n'est pas comme ca au quotidien et que nous sommes passer manger le jour ou il ne fallait pas, sinon l'organisation est vraiment à revoir de A à Z. Très déçu, je n'y remettrais plus les pieds."

"Simply perfect, the value-for-price ratio is very good: menu at 29€ a Saturday night entry-plat-dessert. The place is intimate and tastefully decorated. The products are houses and each dish is perfectly thought out and presented. The wine is very good, the service is perfect. Nothing to say, the only regret is not having been able to taste all the dishes of the card! When we return to the region, we will not fail to return to this superb restaurant!"

"a beautiful location in the heart of the beautiful city of chinon and next to a municipal parking, the restaurant is of medium size decorated soberly with taste. the service is excellent, the card that day only proposed the "découverte du cocher" menu at 24,50 euros. Even if the next page proposed 2 more expensive menus rather surprising because almost every dish was mentioned with an extra supplement. let's stay on this menu, which was an excellent surprise of quality and originality. the bell service gives style to the whole and the presence of a passionate and competent sommelier adds to the quality of the place. The service is fast. If the dish is made minute it is not the case of the entrance and dessert. in this regard the quality of presentation of the dessert suggests that it is not the same person who dresses dishes and dessert. 2 flats that do not allow me to give an excellent opinion. In the first two sturgeon nets, one was very cooked almost crispy while the second was perfect and melting!!! was this volunteer? Finally we have seen a series of depicted plates including some dizzy and looking at the pictures of the other reviews, I see that it is a constant!!! would it not be possible to have a single set of sober and clean white plates?? for this level of quality it is indispensable, even if once again bravo for the price 100 euros to 2 with aperitif"
