"In this location, surrounded as it is with large restaurants spilling out onto the pavement with their me-too menus of les pizzas and pâtes and overly familiar sounding meals, it is most unexpected to find a bespoke and personal restaurant offering a fine selection of dishes cooked with care. The menu, described appropriately as the 'carte du moment' presents a mercifully small number of seasonal and therefore changing entrées, plats and desserts. However, it is still hard to choose. Each one is enticing, interesting and original with the promise of flavours, combinations of ingredients and textures, without tricks and unnecessary embellishment. For a large number, a selection of all the entrées as share dishes makes a lot of sense. Everyone gets a taste of something and the difficulty of having to choose is avoided. For the plats, a single selection is best with pork, duck, tuna and salmon along with risotto as options on the night we were there. A fine burger also available is perhaps a concession to the location and, actually, a very fine dish. Four desserts are offered with each one tempting and beautifully prepared. Another selection for the table is highly recommended. The wine list is adequate and the ambiance works for lone dining as well as for a larger and more raucous group. The service is smiling and efficient as well as courteous. This is a place to make a favourite. The risk to this reviewer is that it will become deservedly highly popular and impossible for last minute bookings."

"a personalized welcome of high quality products, the recipe for a very good meal at the fair price. Indeed the menu 39€ in dessert dish is very attractive especially since we were many which allowed us to share several very beautiful pieces of maturation meat including a Spanish beef rib perfectly grilled. in lucky entry you remind us that he also holds a mozzarella bar with a burrata to fall. the portions are really generous especially with respect to meat. to illustrate this while I have a good appetite I contented myself with a delicious ice cream at home yoghurt to drag the whole. I obviously recommend this address in the middle of canes in front of the market."

"Take a dish of the day and a dessert, and you will have a good value for money. a decor of bistro, with old nothings and ropes, tables and chairs formica from the 1960s. traditional fridge in the room, it's fashion... friendly and spontaneous service. as I grew up, but professional and effective. the price allows and explains the number 1 of the site on the canes."

"Very good discovery of Ivorian cuisine (we didn't know). The card is limited (it is also the guarantee of fresh preparation) but quite varied for all tastes. The hibiscus ginger cocktail is a must. The 2 sisters are very welcoming, one in service to the other in the kitchen. A little far from the city centre and a street that passes, but it is worth visiting if you are looking for an original, tasteful and reasonable meal. Thank you both. (The small family of tourists has just arrived in Cannes)"

"Nous sommes venus plusieurs fois au "Pistou" et la cuisine est toujours à la hauteur ( fraîcheur des produits, présentation originale et soignée ). Mais le service vient nettement ternir le repas: la serveuse "Mona" se montre particulièrement odieuse, servant le client avec dédain sans aucun sourire, ni parole. Il faudrait, de plus qu'elle apprenne à dire "bonjour, au revoir et merci "! La restauration fonctionne sur le relationnel avec le client et il serait bien préférable qu'elle fasse un autre métier !! On revient au "Pistou" pour la qualité de la cuisine mais on serait bien tenté d'aller voir ailleurs, en particulier dans le restaurant d'à côté où la serveuse est avenante et souriante.."
