"When we went for a meal on Saturday evening, the proprietor had every reason to be annoyed with us as there had been a mix up where I had tried to book a table for eleven people on the previous Wednesday and had not got...his reply, so we didn't turn up. He had to turn people away as our table lay empty. Instead, he gave us a warm welcome when our reduced party of seven arrived. My son said this is his favourite restaurant and one of his favourite ever meals. It wasn't even that the food was so good it was every dish was delicious. The tartiflette was out of this world it was that (and this is a first) he tried to talk us out of ordering portions which he felt were too large. My son, who is nine any tiny, wanted to order a tartiflette XL and my husband wanted me to order one too so he could try mine and in both cases he said it would be too much. I think he was astounded when my son did finish his and then went on to polish off some incredibly superior ice cream as well. He was very impressed and made my son feel like achieved something akin to climbing Everest. Congratulations to the chef everything was wonderful the pizza was possibly a bit too cheesy for my nephew's taste, but after all this is a cheese restaurant but the chocolate mousse is the best we've ever had. But we'd like to give extra thanks to the proprietor. Not only did he guide us through what to drink as a cheese digesting aperitif, but what wine came from where and also managed to tolerate our terrible French with good humour. He really did show a real passion and pride for his restaurant and what it offered. Even when he was badly bitten by a dog who he was attempting to give water to, the man kept his professionalism and kept smiling, even joking (with blood pouring out of his thumb) that it was his shoes that had offended the animal. I can't recommend this place enough. It's harder for restaurants in these more out of the way' locations to thrive than in other more central locations (where you find restaurants full whether they are good or not) but it is well worth the effort to make a trip. Go. You won't be disappointed."

We had a meal with friends prior to their flight home. The service was very friendly and helpful. The food was gorgeous. We had tarteflets, pizzas and a burger between us all and all was gorgeous! We had pudding, delicious chocolate mousse and nuages ..a cross between cheesecake and heaven). We all would highly recommend without hesitation!

Extremely friendly welcome with little English spoken. Family friendly, as our little granddaughter was made very welcome. Very good value and authentic. If you can, take your time, it would be worthwhile to experience the range choice of cheeses available. You could easily drive...by, forgive initial curb-appeal, this is a rough diamond, try it!

may have fallen on a bad day, 1 hour waiting to be served and for other customers it was the same thing. that the boss always says that he didn't expect so many people, I think there's mainly a lack of organisation, there were only 18 adult covers and 5 children... not the end of the world but the cook with 2 of tension was certainly the cause. on the other hand the burger was good anyway

An excellent small local French restaurant serving typical French food with a good wines from the local vineyards. My wifes favourite meal was a beautiful tasty salad with a variety of cheeses. The food was of good quality and well presented, the owners were very helpful...with the menu and nothing was of any trouble to them to make your evening pleasurable. passing by this small village by chance on the holiday road, we were struck:1 by the kindness and benevolence of this patron who does everything for you.2 by the choice and the menu posibilites "remove it by this " my children have eaten a pizza with raclette instead of mozzarella.3 by the presentation of the products from where they come and how they are made. 4 by the non-wasting you are no longer hungry, you are packed with your remaining pizza. So gentlemen, the culinary critics stop you to go to boniagues and give this restaurant all its letters of nobility. Thanks to you, we really had a good time.

We were in the area a year ago and enjoyed Le Fromage so much we went back this visit. In the meantime there have been some changes which make it work better. We went for raclette so the portable grill device was placed on the...table, a massive hunk of cheese (there must be about twenty to choose from) placed in the grill and we were in business. We helped ourselves from the wide selection of charcouterie, vegetables, salds etc. We changed cheese half way through and could have changed as many times as we wished Desserts are also on a serve yourself basis. The Dame Blanche was really excellent and the tiramisu looked good too. Nothing refined about it but really good value. Word of warning...

"You can read the complete review and a short film about the restaurant in La Chartreus du Bignac on the only blog for reviews and reviews broken by the 5D Sensograph of the 5 human sensory spots with com. The restaurant offers an exceptional...fine culinary experience worthy of a Michelin star. Until now it is only included in the Michelin Guide for 2021, but I am sure one day it will win its star. There is also a hotel part of this place. Look... the interior is simple, but very stylish. During the day, I am sure it is even more beautiful because there are tables outside with a beautiful view. Unfortunately we were there on a rainy evening and had no views, but we really felt comfortable and pleasant; .... The menu offers a choice that is only for the special evening entree, dish, dessert (appearant, main, dessert) and a wealth of good wine from the region, but also other regions of France; .... The complete review and a short film about La Chartreus du Bignac can be seen on suitcases with com Feel.... Great service of young people who were very friendly spoke English well and gladly guided guests on the menu. ... We were impressed that the cook closely monitored the reactions of customers through the transparent wall of the open kitchen. Listen... Very well complemented by the ambience instrumental jazz. Smell... I didn't expect that so impressed by the couli from water dress with its aroma and light green color, it adds freshness to the whole bouquet of the plate; .... The invigorating scent of citrus tart in the lemon and kiwi in the sweet potato dessert; .... All flavors from different wines by glass that you can combine on the recommendation of waiters with the food. Like every fine restaurant of the high-class, in the beginning Amuse Bouche is served, a second appetizer and only then what you ordered; .... Each of the suggestions was of character and perfectly combined as flavors, flavors, textures crisp with delicate, slightly sweet with salty, bright with pastel. There is no point to recommend special dishes because they probably change the offers every night, so experiment. I personally fell in love with fish and foie grass. ... Great wines have the area many quality offers and even the standard village is good. All places in the region offer wine with glass, so you can taste different. My recommendation is to add a glass of Monbazillac to Dessert, an appeal nearby, famous for its dessert wines. You can also order a Noisette coffee that is an espresso Macchiato, actually. The coffee is great here! If you are in the area of Bergerac and you are a gourmet fan, La Chartreuse de Bignac is a must stop for you! Bon Appetit!
