"Let's start with the positives - and there are many of them. This is one of a small number of restaurants that is reliable, well-priced, likeable to all generations and it has been the scene of numerous dinners with friends and family. It is just that sort of place and it fits the bill perfectly. Off one of the many narrow passages of Antibe's Vieille Ville, this attractive restaurant offers diners a beautiful outdoor courtyard setting, tables on terraces and at the base of a manicured, shady tree, lots of staff operating efficiently with good language skills, a menu that offers staples with a bit more imagination than other places, a wine list that would cover most tastes and white table cloths. The menu offers a couple of prix fixé options, a children's menu, and a good assortment of à la carte dishes. It pays to look at the menu very carefully as it takes the form of a newspaper with some interesting articles on recipes and regional specialities. On other occasions, it has been a place where escargots and other French delicacies have been experienced for the first time by the more spirited and adventurous. It's only in the detail that it disappoints a little. The fois gras gets served without toast and it finally arrives after the third request; the salad leaves accompanying dishes are old and wilted; the Courgette velouté comes with a large quantity of aubergine floating on the top which wasn't mentioned in the description (that might be fine for some but, for this reviewer, the presence of aubergine made it inedible); a delicious sauce on a main course but only a tiny quantity of it when the dish should have done with more (and more aubergine that hadn't made it into the description on the menu, fortunately on the side of the plate). However, the canard was one of the best eaten by one of the guests and the conchiglioni saumon was well-liked. There was not very much left on anyone's plate, although rather a large quantity of linguine tomate remained for reasons of an aftertaste that made it seem not quite right. Particular praise should go to the staff, one of whom remembered an order for eight, in English, without writing it down, with complete accuracy and good humour as well. We had some travellers and made it an early night without desserts, which was certainly a shame. A friendly and immediate bill was presented and we were on our way with a smiling exchange of "merci beaucoup" from several of us, and a cheerful "merci à vous" in response. My memo to self is to ask what comes with the dish and, if aubergine gets mentioned, or its well known camouflage ratatouille, make another choice."

We have been to Jardin a couple of times and we really like the pastas there. I recommend Pasta with truffle, my favourite. Restaurant looks like a magazine shop from outside but don't get fooled by that. Reservation is not required.

Discover this noon for this restaurant with a lunch that was excellent, fresh products and decorated with delicious spices. The setting is superb. Visibly in the summer the court seduces customers in view of the comments, I will come back without hesitation to test it!

My husband and I went to Le Jardin for dinner on our first night in Antibes and we were disappointed. We sat at a table in the garden which was lovely and the waitress friendly. The fish soup I had for entrée was so fishy it was overpowering and the willd boar in orange was inedible as was the cake I had for desert. My husband enjoyed his lamb shank which was a bonus.

The restaurant is pretty nice, with a very nice garden (which was the main reason of my choice) but the tables were too close and people were packed. The food was bland and fish does not give the impression to be that much fresh, even the garnish was brash. The service was courtes but inaccurate. The final surpirse: despite to overall cost quite reasonable, 1l still water was 6€. It looks to much, even for Antibes! Speisekarte ansehen

We waited nearly 2 hours to be asked for our order. They were people who arrived after us and got served and had eaten and left before they asked us what we wanted from the menu. I am half French and did speak in French with an English accent and I can only think this was the reason. They were more interested in getting new people in then looking after the people inside. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The place is really at the top, the nouriture also by the reception is not good. From beginning to end. We really want to take a bottle of champagne and so we changed our minds. The owner really needs to find a leader who manages his team. Otherwise unfortunately he will lose customers and maybe his restaurant that is really amazing. The next table was also dissatisfied with the reception and service of the servers. Thank you very much.

The staff was very friendly and each member of staff welcomed us when we came in. Also they all seem to speak English well and wait patiently when you attempt your best French. The atmosphere outside is fantastic and if you have the chance to eat in the "jardin/garden" do so it is lovely. Otherwise reserve or wait a bit. They have a great menu and a choice out of two good menu's. of 33 & 23 EUR (I think) And before I forget the quality and flavor of the food is great as well. Food was okay, some of it rather bland. Beef tartar was rather bland with no egg on top or other condiments to vary the taste throughout. We also tried the Antibois menu which had a tasty cold soup, but dry poultry with a bland mushroom sauce and lumpy polenta. Wine was rather disappointing. Nice back garden that felt relaxing even with our own noisy children along. Children had tomato pasta and breaded fish, that they were happy with. Baked apple dessert was very good. An okay experience but not amazing in any way.

4* for sure, today I wouldn 't give a 5* as food although overall very good was not consistently of absolute top quality. Firstly service was excellent, efficient, friendly polite. Secondly ambience was also great eclectically decorated and with a full dining room of happy patrons. Starters feta cheese dip and 'panisses ' (chickpea chips/polenta) were very good. My main duck breast was also very good, served with a carrot mousse which was outstanding. My wife 's Daube (slow cooked beef stew) with pasta however lacked real flavour. Dessert was Rum Baba (served with rum on the side) which was truly excellent falls into 'one of the best ever ' categories. No hesitation in recommending to any vi...

"In this location, surrounded as it is with large restaurants spilling out onto the pavement with their me-too menus of les pizzas and pâtes and overly familiar sounding meals, it is most unexpected to find a bespoke and personal restaurant offering a fine selection of dishes cooked with care. The menu, described appropriately as the 'carte du moment' presents a mercifully small number of seasonal and therefore changing entrées, plats and desserts. However, it is still hard to choose. Each one is enticing, interesting and original with the promise of flavours, combinations of ingredients and textures, without tricks and unnecessary embellishment. For a large number, a selection of all the entrées as share dishes makes a lot of sense. Everyone gets a taste of something and the difficulty of having to choose is avoided. For the plats, a single selection is best with pork, duck, tuna and salmon along with risotto as options on the night we were there. A fine burger also available is perhaps a concession to the location and, actually, a very fine dish. Four desserts are offered with each one tempting and beautifully prepared. Another selection for the table is highly recommended. The wine list is adequate and the ambiance works for lone dining as well as for a larger and more raucous group. The service is smiling and efficient as well as courteous. This is a place to make a favourite. The risk to this reviewer is that it will become deservedly highly popular and impossible for last minute bookings."
