"Absolutely loved this cafe. People couldn't be more welcome. They went out to talk to us and gave us a lot of information about the area. The lady even brought us to one of the attractions behind the café. The food was right at home cooking. Just what we needed after our trip to get there. Would definitely recommend this place if you are in the area."

It is a place in a simple style that makes us easily comfortable to have a good time. On the other hand, the TV is a little embarrassing to get along...

"We went with (French) friends as we had heard good reports. As it was lunchtime we sat outside on the terrace which was very pretty and well done with no traffic noise, we all felt we were in for a treat. We ordered a bottle of Mont Louis sparkling wine for an aperitif expecting some some nibbles just like the other tables but none were forthcoming. We ordered our food, from the main menu as the marche menu did not appear to be available, there is usually a board with the menu of the day, but not a major problem. They provided an amuse bouche which was nice, everybody enjoyed their starters, the main course arrived, two of us ordered lamb shanks the chefs speciality, mine was fine but the other one had part of it missing so it was sent back, when the new lamb shank arrived 15 minutes later it was clearly one that they were preparing for the evening service as it was not cooked as much. We also noticed that the vegetables they provided were for two people not for four. Again we noticed the difference from the other tables. We all ordered the cafe gourmand for dessert, when it arrived it had obviously been hanging around in the kitchen for a while as everything was melting when it was presented to us. The other thing we noticed was the other tables had proper sugar, brown and white we just had your normal cube of sugar in a wrapper put in side of the plate. This restaurant was not a Routier restaurant, we paid €45 per head for lunch, not cheap but if everything was served properly it would have been good value for money. I really feel that we were treated as tourists especially as our French friends were speaking mostly in English. I'm pretty sure we were the only none locals there. Why we were treated differently can only be that we were tourists and not considered important customers. In these days where times are hard I would have thought they would have embraced the opportunity of new business. On the upside the aforementioned sparking wine and subsequent bottle of rose were excellent, perhaps they were having an off day but be warned us tourists are not stupid. Especially ones that spend in excess of 8 weeks every year in the immediate area and would become 'locals' if things were different. In the many restaurants we go to in this area the welcome the French people give is very friendly and warm."
