Le Pain Quotidien - Speisekarte

I had a fast breakfast here before catching my train home for Christmas. The restaurant offers a decent selection of items but the quality is just average and the prices are too high.

Watch out for the trick they use here. The pastries are vegan and are correspondingly absolutely awful and like chewing gum. They claim that they have told you and then charge you anyway, even though they are basically in edible. Staff nonchalant and unhelpful

Excellent service from Luca (I hope I got the name right), first he makes no notes of what you order (no idea how he remembers everything, my wife was shocked) and secondly nothing is too much trouble. The Waffles were outstanding as was the coffee and I'll definitely return. Speisekarte ansehen

I went twice for breakfast on consecutive days. Service really quick both days. I like the platter with smoked salmon, yoghurt, croissant. Expensive but for high end London 'fast food ' its generally consistently good. Staff were attentive and realised I was in a hurry and were helpful.

Convenient spot located in the main part of St Pancras station for a quick lunch between trains. Our waiter, Ezz, was really friendly and attentive. Our food came within what felt like 5 minutes so very handy if you're tight for time. Ordered the wild mushroom and onion tart and was very tasty! Would definitely stop by again.

Despite seeing some negative reviews, I have always had a good experience at this restaurant. While some items on the menu have changed, I was still able to enjoy some of my favorite dishes. The coffee, breads, and croissants were all delicious. The staff was efficient and friendly, although they were often busy and didn't have much time to chat. I used to frequent this restaurant whenever I was in London and would definitely return again without hesitation. Speisekarte ansehen

I went for a coffee and pastry before my train home. The coffee was good, but the pain aux raisins was terrible. I was expecting a fluffy fresh pastry and instead got a heated up chewy pastry. I really wish I had refused it, particularly as I didn’t request it heated up. In my view this probably means it’s not fresh and can’t be served at room temperature. I see on other reviews people have said chewy, so please don’t accept it if you receive it like this. I’ll be heading to the competitors next time.

I had a negative experience at this restaurant on two separate occasions. The staff was unwelcoming and seemed annoyed when I tried to place my order quickly as I had a Eurostar to catch. On my second visit, an Indian employee asked an Italian colleague to take my order instead of doing it himself, and she appeared unhappy to assist. After serving another table, she ignored us completely. The staff seemed unhappy and uninterested in providing good customer service. I will be contacting the Head Office to report this disappointing experience. It may be time for the restaurant to consider hiring new staff.

We stopped for coffee at Le Pain Quotidien before catching Eurostar. There were 4 or 5 tables outside the restaurant but the staff appeared to only clean the two nearest the entrance to the eatery and empty take away cups etc soon built up on the table next to us. An elderly American gentleman sat down at the table after going in an ordering a coffee and a pastry. The waiter came out, cleaned one of the tables near the door and ignored the rubbish covered table the elderly man sat at. I didn’t like the idea of him sitting there eating his food at a table covered in rubbish (same as I would feel if he were my Dad so I went in and politely asked a member of staff if someone could clear the tab...
