Another visit to Le Raaj. Never fails us. Fabulous food with a wide choice. Professional and very attentive (as well as handsome) staff. Luxurious surrounding always immaculate. Always feels like a special night out. Can't rate it highly enough. Thanks guys.

they have a small vegan option on the back of the menu, and it has left much to wish. the starter was literally seasoning two piles of brokkoli. it tasted beautiful, but could not be thought of further? and my head was a lens soup. I couldn't finish the bowl because she was tasteless.

they do not often see a vegan menu area in a curry house, so I was pleasantly surprised to discover one in le raaj. beautiful staff that meets their nutritional requirements. they can choose from the vegan menu or they can customize other curries in vegan dishes. many of the dishes are already inadvertently vegan. would recommend the sweet rogan josh, the sweet balti and the aloo gobi.

I visited this restaurant on September 24th, we booked last minute but were able to get a table. The restaurant had a lovely ambiance and setting. The food was excellent, I tried a duck dish which was superb, and my wife had the king prawn biryani which was stunningly presented. The staff were all attentive and friendly. We live in London and have tried many Indian restaurants, but this one is definitely one of the best we have experienced. Thank you!

The restaurant is a rip off with overpriced food. My partner ordered the lamb 2 ways for a starter and it was a complete joke - £9.95 for a piece of meatless bone with a tiny portion of chicken. There are no prices listed on the menu and the beer was £7 a pint. I ordered the special which had increased by £6. There was no heating on in the restaurant so we had to keep our coats on. The waiter shocked us with a bill of £72 for just one coke. When we questioned the bill, we felt like we were being ripped off. We were extremely disappointed and will not be returning.

We went out for an anniversary meal and were very disappointed. The lunch meal was overpriced at £72. My partner had a coke and ordered off the lunch time special menu for £14.95 (which used to be £8.95 not too long ago and included coffee or ice cream, but not anymore). I ordered a pint of lager for £7. My starter of lamb two ways was lacking in meat and priced at £9.95. The curry was decently spicy, but the overall bill left us feeling unsatisfied. There were no prices on the menu, which added to our shock when we received the total. We both agreed that we would not be returning to this restaurant.

I'm flying to le raaj. I was forced to write this review. not forced with a gun on my head or a knife on my neck. I have to tell everyone about this place. I was there twice and can't hurt it, and I can usually find something to moan. his somewhere between newcastle and durham is not necessarily out of the beaten track, but removed enough to win the lagertrinken louts when they pass, they will notice it. note it so much that they want to go there. there was no fanfare, no finishing through the briefcase. it appeared simply unpretentily and quiet, but at the same time unmistakably, which, for me, shows a degree...read more

well-established high-end curry house that we visited a few times to sit and take away meal times. the vegan options are excellent. we had once the sweetheart, which was delightful and quite considerable. a visit during the lockout in 2020 for the trip out, where we had a few items from their separate vegan menu was good, but it is restaurant restaurants where they excellent. our youngest visit in the april 2022 was especially unforgettable. we ordered jeera aloo (baby kartoffeln in ingwer, garlic, chili and cumin tortured, tarka dhal (trio of lenses tempered with ingwer and garlic), Maya-Ana special (fried baby aubergine shimmered in sweet chili and wobble sauce), chickmbur khumb (mushrooms...
