"Question - when you eat as many curries as I do, why oh why do I insist on eating Indian when abroad? Not sure - maybe it's just a fascination that the rest of europe could be catching the UK up. Anyway - me and the missus rolled up and ordered onion bhajis and a couple of chicken dishes. The restaurant is not big (just off the main Jeanne D'Arc square), and consequently the menu is not as extensive as you might get in the UK. It seemed a reasonably popular place with a number of customers obviously known to the owner which is always a good sign. However, he was also the only waiter and consequently the poor man was often almost running to keep up with the orders, which did sometimes cause a wait. It also prompted a sort of randomness that I can only describe as "Wagamama-esque", for example, the naan bread turned up with the starters. And although the plateful of onion bhajis were plentiful and tasty, there was no mint yoghurt to go with it! The main meal was as close to a british curry as I have had abroad (except one in Turkey run by a bloke from Slough), although for me, there was just a little something missing in the spices. All in all a good effort, but would do well in hiring more staff.Oh and one last comment on the music, which started excruitiatingly bad and got humurous as the night went on - Indian bagpipes which sounded like someone strangling Sweep (off the Sooty show!)"
