Awful service, had to wait several minutes before grumpy barman served his friends first bothering to serve me, as an outsider. Very locals only pub

I came across this pub by chance whilst out with friends. It is very homely with a very friendly landlady. Sunday lunch was excellent and very reasonably priced.

Recently refurbished. Looking fantastic. Under new management. Definitely worth a visit. Tom the new landlord is doing his best to turn it around. Go on, give it a go! Speisekarte ansehen

Karen Glen their staff are wonderful food was is fantastic and entertainment was brilliant; Karaoke was a laugh had some great singers and not so good but was a great way to relax before the Christmas madness. Thank you all

Ham&egg and prawn granary baguettes lightly toasted to perfection. Tasty beer. Small, pleasant country garden looking down to the quaint old pub . Friendly, efficient service. A sunny September day. What more could one want?

What can we say, the food is very good and plentiful, cooked to a high standard. The staff and owners are very friendly and welcoming. The pub is a homely place and definitely worth a visit. Looking forward to our next visit. Speisekarte ansehen

Popped in today to treat myself to a sunday roast. Well what can I say, the food was absolutely incredible. Good selection of different roasts available. I had the chicken. Perfectly cooked. Accompanied by a huge selection of vegetables, roast potatoes, beautiful Yorkshire pudding and homemade sausage stuffing. Yummers! Highly recommended. Thank you very much. I will be back again soon!!

My work colleague and I had a meeting in the stunning beer garden at this pub and we were blown away by the amazing service and selection of beers. The bar staff could tell we had not been to the pub before so went out of their way to ensure we felt welcome. We noticed that the pub had a wide selection of snacks so we had some peanuts. My word the quality of these peanuts is mind blowing.

So,, my internet was down no sport,,saw that the leathern bottle had BT sport. booked a table for 2 for Sunday, food and sport wife in tow. motogp starting soon,,to the bar pint of very cold cider, hmmm lovely. to my table facing my very own wall mounted T.V.. magnificent, wife arrives small wine soda sorted... order food starter white bait for me nothing for the wife. starter arrives and is fit for 4 people,, marvellous, what a treat crisp fresh fish,,cider, TV heaven. mains lamb shank and a beef roast,,seriously seriously if you’re hungry give it a try. in this comfy warm and welcoming friendly pub.. if you have room for pud try the cheese cake wife said it’s delightful..go !
