"Located close to the cathedral we went for the menu du jour. 3 courses and coffee. Starter and pud were fixed and a choice of two mains. Starter was salmon mousse with tomatoes, main either turkey steak in creamy mushroom sauce or ham hock in bbq sauce. Pud was a delightful chocolate cheesecake pyramid. Between us we had both mains and all food was tasty and speedily served. The waitress was very helpful and friendly. Would recommend to anyone"

We went to cathedral on a warm afternoon and needed a refreshment. This pub is on the right hand side from the entrance and is enjoyable sitting in the shade having a refreshing ale. Would recommend after a wander through the amazing cathedral you pop in here for a lager or two.
