I went to the restaurant for dinner and was impressed by the presentation of the food. The dishes were tasty and the portions were generous. The service was satisfactory and the location was excellent.

This place has always been a favourite until they changed the route in and out of the pub. Now they have changed it back it’s really good. Rather than walking out on to the road, you can go through the pub to the waterfront and car park. It’s much quieter than I remember from from years ago. Lovely views from the seating area. You can also sail up at high tide and moor along side. Service: 5

Today, my family went to this restaurant for a birthday celebration during lunchtime. We arrived at 11:50 am and waited in the car because both the website and Google indicated that it would open at 12 pm. However, after waiting for 40 minutes and calling three times with no answer, we were frustrated. Eventually, the delivery driver left the food on the front steps since no one answered the door. This was disappointing since we had traveled quite a distance and double-checked online to confirm the restaurant's opening hours. In the end, we decided to go to the Watermans restaurant nearby and had a pleasant meal there. Overall, the service at the initial restaurant was rated as a 1.

For me personally, it was everything I needed. A lovely dog-friendly stay in a beautiful location. It can be a bit hairy to get to with some small country lanes. I'm used to these but others may find it a bit daunting. The pub/Hotel is located right by the river so you have small boats mooring up alongside. The staff were all really lovely and so welcoming. They were lovely to our dog as well. We had 2 rooms booked, one much smaller than the other. Ours was lacking in windows but that's just the layout of the building but my parents room was really nice with lots of space and a big bathroom too (theirs was an upgrade though so this wasn't unexpected).
