"Nice hotel mostly for families What we liked : Hotel is beautiful nicely located Rooms are very well decorated and come with a terrace Top service: staff really did his best to make our stay enjoyable Food was good Very clean Definitely a five star relais et château But ... Some rooms are better that others (even if there is a price difference) : The superior room with shared swimming pool are really nice (if you are a couple we recommend these). The outsized bathroom is simply gorgeous. And they are away from the other rooms, so more calm and privacy ... and with a better view The superior rooms are ok but we did not like the fact that these rooms have another room category above with a view on your terrace (in addition these upper floor rooms are particularly targeting families since these rooms come with 2 rooms and bathrooms) so if you want to enjoy privacy and calm we would recommend the room mentioned above (even if they are pricy). We felt these rooms were slightly overpriced ... The upper floor rooms are great for families (although the one was not as well maintained as the other rooms we had... but again this is probably due to families children heavier use) What may be improved disappointed us The swimming pool is not properly sized when you account for hotel size and the fact that this hotel is clearly targeting families with children: Most of the time the small Swimming pool was crowded with children playing (so forget about a nice quiet dip or swim) and there are not enough deckchair for every guest and the area is quite small so if there were it would be probably too crowded (again not so much privacy) A foot bath before entering in the swimming pool area... felt a little cheap but oh well... probably because of children ? Food is mostly very good but pricy and, quantity is often too generous, portions should be smaller and so does the price"

Superb location for these white herbs which offered us an excellent culinary journey: harmonies of flavors, subtleties of textures, everything was perfect from the starter to the desserts, all orchestrated by the talent and pretty smile of Maeva! We will happily go back up the hill!

located in an enchanting setting on heights in front of lubéron. perfectly integrated into the landscape with its traditional mas look, it offers an enchanted parenthesis to these guests. the staff is charming and attentive, from the valet to the servers, bartenders and receptionists. Breakfast is rich and varied. the services are of high quality. a special mention to our windy room that in addition to a spectacular view, gave us the feeling of being in a suite with its different levels! Thanks again for this couple stay for my birthday.

Superb place, very nice rooms, attention to detail, the reception staff were extremely kind and attentive. Very neat site, private terraces for superior rooms. Hearty breakfast, wide choice of products, fresh fruit. Breakfast is served until 10 a.m., this time could be extended. Unfortunately, in the restaurant neither the service nor the cuisine are up to what one would expect from a 5-star hotel. Very limited choice of dishes on the menu... you have to like raw or, for example, 'snacké ', certainly fashionable but not to everyone 's taste. We were disappointed with our two visits to the restaurant.

We were a party of 8 and all ordered the tasting menu of 95 euros per person. One of us had dietary restriction of no butter or cheese they were very accommodating with a substitution of food gras instead. We all had specialty drinks and ordered 3 bottles of wine with the meal. Although it was a 3 hour meal, it did not feel slow because the service was so attentive each step of the way. It was windy on the terrace I had forgotten to bring a sweater and we asked if they had a shawl/blanket which they were very accommodating brought a shawl right away. Would go back here in a heartbeat and should have done that instead of Restaurant David in Roussillon which was just so HORRIBLE!

1 week spent in this soothing place where everything is comfort and attentive service. The superior room with shared pool access is large and well appointed. Little touches during our arrival and evening service. A pleasant terrace with shared pool access and hidden from other neighbors by a canvas. Large bathroom..Coffee machine, mini bar. Excellent cocktails served at the bar with advice according to your tastes and desires. Breakfast served in a pretty room or a large panoramic terrace open when the weather permits. Varied and quality products. The service team is dynamic. On the other hand, the cooking of the eggs really needs to be re-examined because they were way overcooked (reported...

"David's chef Emmanuel Champion left in the New Year and the restaurant was closed for redecoration. This is the first time we have been there since then and I am very sorry to say that, although the patron and one waiter are the same everything else has changed.Gone is the stylish but comfortable decor, the fresh table linen and in their place are wood-effect topped tables, heavy and rather low chairs but worst of all to traditionalist me, fake leather table mats. The two set price menus have the same offering of two choices for each of three courses but with a couple of exceptions these were neither seasonal nor especially local. The wine list is pretty much as it was. This new chef has a great deal to learn. His cooking is somewhat lacking in finesse. The first course of foie gras was not melt in mouth and was strangely topped with a chocolate flavoured jelly which I thought didn't work. The toasted brioche served with it was welcome as was the very small serving of chutney. The main dish was just clumsy. It sounded hopeful: John Dory with a boullabaisse sauce. The sauce was a lacking-in-flavour foam and the overcooked fish was sitting on two huge pieces of potato, also overcooked and a lump of carrot. I couldn't finish mine. Both desserts contained chocolate and I chose the bananas flambeed in rum on a biscuit. The bananas were cold cut into identical cylinders with a mousse in the middle, but the rum had escaped. I asked for the accompanying chocolate ice cream not to be served.I feel really sorry having to write this review because we have known and loved David since the early 1980s through the then third generation owner and chef, the present owner and his first chef to last night.I know, things, especially in food have to move on but............"
