Milan the restaurant

We were up from London visiting parents, thought we'd try somewhere new. Loved the food and presentatation but found the wine a touch expensive for what it was, for a bottle of Prosecco a bit OTT.

Booked for father's day with my daughter's arrived to see a piece of paper in the door saying it was closed until further notice I wasn't informed by text or email which completely ruined my father's day so won't be going back again

Disappointed with the quality of the Sunday roast. Service was unmanaged e.g. Tables being set up at and wine glasses left on the table when no wine was ordered. Needs an experienced person to manage the service and good quality. Not value for money on this occasion. Speisekarte ansehen

I found it interesting that the restaurant had closed down weeks before our confirmed booking, yet we were not informed. This lack of communication does not inspire confidence in the organization's efficiency. I would advise caution when considering investing in their shares. - Bernie Jackson

I really enjoyed my dining experience but I felt the drinks prices, particularly wine are excessive. I appreciate the restaurant do attractive dining offers through the week so perhaps the drinks menu is such to offset this. This didn't apply to our experience so hence my value for money rating. The food was lovely and service attentive.

I made a reservation online for a Father's Day meal at Milan, but when I arrived, I saw a note on the door saying the restaurant was closed until further notice. A small group of disappointed customers were outside, their evening plans ruined. I believe OpenTable should communicate with restaurants to prevent situations like this from happening. Unfortunately, despite a confirmatory E-Mail on the morning of the booking, we found a handwritten notice on the door informing us that, due to unforeseen circumstances, the Restaurant was closed until further notice! No E-mail or telephone call to warn us so our special occasion became a bit of a scramble to find somewhere else to eat! A great pity, as we have enjoyed our experience at this Restaurant on many previous occasions.

We booked the table here as a celebration for my daughters engagement with some friends and were really looking forward to it...... however when we arrived the restaurant was closed..... yes closed with just a note on the door saying closed till further notice. To say I was very angry is an understatement..... very embarrassing when your friends have travelled to get here on our recommendation....... on a Saturday night and everywhere is fully booked. They had my mobile number and e mail address so the least they could have done is contact me to say it was closed.....this is unacceptable from a restaurant. We certainly would not recommend it to anyone .... our plans were spoilt for such a sp...

Unfortunately our meal was cancelled at on the day our meal was booked, due to a gas leak on the premises. The restaurant rang us up and said we could be moved to their sister restaurant called The Manor. However there was an additional charge of per person to our original set meal at Milan. As if was so last minute we agreed to be moved to The Manor. I have been to The Manor previously and I really enjoyed the food there. We went to The Manor expecting great things. When we arrived nobody same over to us to greet us or check who we were?
