"Good ingredients cooked well. We had the Sunday lunch and the main size portion was enormous very generous, with thick cut slices of succulent beef, extra Yorkshires, roast potatoes and gravy supplied with a special mention for the delicious Cauliflower Cheese and roasted parsnips and carrots. Starters are relatively small, desserts were all excellent and well presented. The riverside setting is of course outstanding (the food and bar prices do reflect you are at a luxury hotel but the Set menu and Wine list offer very good value for money. Service is in no way stuffy or overly fussy; more friendly, with just the right degree of attentiveness. We were with two elderly relatives and their needs (essentially hard of hearing and like to be made a fuss of were very quickly adapted to by the kindly staff and manager. All in all a wonderful visit."

Great service, good food and a beautiful event that runs through the gardens to the Thames River.

Fabulous afternoon tea. Lovely quality of food, and great selection of savoury and sweet treats. Service was polite but staff could have checked in to offer more tea drinks during service.

Incredible service. One of the most accommodating restaurants we’ve ever dined in they modified dishes according to my food allergy or made special dishes without us even having to prompt them. And the food was delicious! Would highly recommend.

Our waiter, Luke was attentive and welcoming. The ambiance of this place is great. Such a pretty setting and the decor throughout is beautiful. The food was excellent. The chicken and duck were the most succulent we have ever had and would definitely have again. All in all this was a beautiful dining experience with the customer at its heart.

The food was amazing. A few things leave the place down. There were only three couples in the restaurant, but our empty plates were 20 minutes before us. We had only one drink all the time when nobody asked us if we wanted another or if the food was okay. There were many flies. A landing in our food. At the end of the night a waiter and the cook discussed. If the fee 17 pounds for the service let it a bit in

It's been many years since we visited the monkey island. During this time, the venue has seen its fair share of up and down. The restaurant has recently undergone a facelift that has been tastefully completed. The view from the terrace is worthwhile. We had already checked the menu on the line and had chosen what we would order. Unfortunately, the menu has been changed very recently and the bar menu is not available on weekdays. So a rethinking was necessary. We went fabulous for soup), Sirloin Steak £55) and the chicken. The presentation of food was fabulous. The service was attentive. Karla deserves special mention that they go out their way to help us and show us around the property. expe...

An idyllic location but I’m afraid that’s where it ends. We ordered aperitifs and were served the wrong drinks. The prawn cocktails are substandard, sweet cheap tasting sauce and hunt the prawns. £15 each The duck was full of sinew and for this reason I am pleased the serving was so small. The fish and chips, fish had raw batter that coated your mouth and a very thin sad piece of haddock. The chips were its saving grace which were very nice. The £40 ribeye was tough and tasteless The blood orange sorbet when it was served had melted and was in fact blood orange soup. It was a fantastic sunny day on Easter Friday and it should have been very busy, we now have some idea of why. What a shame an...
