Me and my partner both had fish and chips which was lovely,delicious.As we are very close the shop,will probably do it every week.(even might be in every 2 3 days: The guy is wellcoming,and the prices are great

I recently enjoyed a delicious portion of cod and chips at this restaurant. The cod was a generous serving that was plump and flavorful. The chips were cooked perfectly. The staff were also very friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone craving some tasty fish and chips.

Massively surprised at how awful the batter was after taking this round the corner to where I live. It was soggy and didn’t retain any firmness. The fish itself doesn’t appear to be the flakey cod texture you get from good chippies. I’m dubious about the freshness and type of fish they are serving here. See for yourself. Won’t be returning. The food is freshly prepared, the standard is good and the helpings are large. The fish was excellent though the batter was somewhat tasteless. Chips were great. The onion rings were bland (tasted like supermarket frozen). The staff could be more friendly. Despite that, would definitely go again though I wouldn't order the onion rings again!

Had heard this place was under new management, so thought I'd give it a try on the way home. The staff member behind the counter was extremely glum, and appeared somewhat overwhelmed by the basics of working in a fish and chip shop. After waiting over 10 minutes for my large bag of chips to appear, he asked me if the cod was mine... and then had to ask me and the other 2 customers what we'd all ordered as he'd mixed us all up. The chips tasted OK though, if cut a bit too small and thin. Won't be going back in a hurry.

I have been purchasing fish and chips from this restaurant for 7 years and have always been impressed with the consistently high quality of the food. The fish is always fresh and cooked to order, while the chips are usually crispy and delicious. The owner is friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is located in a peaceful residential area with convenient on-street parking. There are outdoor seating options available in front of the restaurant, or you can take your meal across the street to St Ann's Well Gardens and enjoy it on a park bench.
