Montiel - Speisekarte

Eleven of us dined together at Montiel. It was a delightful experience with exceptional flavors. I enjoyed every course with exception of the dessert course. The little white cookies tasted like baking soda to me.

What a thorough treat this turned out to be. An excellent two and half hours being served dish after delicious dish with great wine to accompany each. The final dish was the ultimate; passion fruit that tasted, well, like delicious bacon! Really well done to all there.

the montiel restaurant is located in the charming barcelona, it is a establishment that offers typical traditional cuisine with partial touches of its chef. As for the quality of raw materials it can be mentioned that they are of very good quality, the presentation of dishes is acceptable and also offers abundant rations.

If you are looking for flavorful dishes with excellent vine pairing Montiel is the restaurant you should visit. We recommend the tasting menu with vine pairing as the combination of food and the chosen beverage for each dish is superb. This was our fifth or sixth visit since 2010 and we will be back next time we visit Barcelona.

El restaurante Montiel se localiza en la encantadora Barcelona, se trata de un establecimiento que ofrece típica Cocina tradicional-renovada con toques particualres de su chef. En cuanto a la calidad de las materias primas se puede mencionar que son de muy buena calida, la presentacion de los platos es aceptable y además ofrece abundantes raciones.

Christmas Eve was a delight. Having just landed, we were a bit nervous about the combination of jet lag, a holiday night in a foreign city, and an unknown restaurant. Well, it was an extraordinary night though the tab for the set menu was 72 euros (without wine), the meal was magical and one we will long remember. The cannoli appetizer was especially scrumptious!

A fabulous dinner for two in Barcelona. My husband and I both had the tasting menu and we enjoyed every course. The accompanying flight of wines were beautifully chosen. Our two favourite courses were the tuna starter and the duck ravioli. We would come back just for those two courses alone. The restaurant was very considerate at adjusting the menu for dietary requirements (I am currently pregnant and there are some things that I cannot eat). Would happily return next time we are in Barcelona.

Beautiful fresh food, artfully presented and excellent service. The Snapper was catch of the day and very tasty, cooked with a light wine sauce. My wife had the Beef Cheeks which was so tender it almost fell apart at the touch of a knife. All the meals served to adjacent tables seemed to be just as eye catching as ours and very much enjoyed. The prices are mid-range but value for money given the quality of food, service and decor. The restaurant couldn't be better placed in the heart of El Born, the trendiest district. Enjoy a walk after the meal around the local cafes and bars. We are in Barcelona for a few more weeks so I'm sure we'll be back many times.

My wife and I dined here for our last night in Barcelona which happened to be a Sunday. I came across the restaurant whilst trying to find the best places open on Sunday the day before. I will admit I tried to book a couple other places first which were already booked solid so glad we ended up here! During our three week Europe adventure we made advance reservations at a three star Michelin restaurant in Rome as well as a one star Michelin restaurant in Florence. I noticed a Michelin sticker on the window as we arrived for our reservation which was a pleasant surprise I’m unsure if they are still rated but our meal and wine were fantastic and up there quality wise.
